Hard pass. Guess they want two Republican Governor states to bail out the Democrat state. It has to end anyway. Let the Democrat controlled regions suffer by their own idiocy, and let the rest get back to work and EARN their money.

'Working families call this pandemic a crisis. They call it a nightmare, but leading Democrats call it an opportunity,' McConnell said.

Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't New Jersey "bail out" Florida every year given that New Jersey contributes more to the federal government than they receive and the opposite is true of Florida?

Sure if you consider people working 50 years contributing to SS and Medicare and then daring to actually use it as a bail out...

Who contributes to federal government? The tax laws are what they are. Don't like them, change them.

They don't have anything to do with federal taxes. Good thing you left them out.

Dude seriously, red states are so dependent on blue states, and worse, they abuse it.

The chances that you live in a State which takes more money from than it contributes to the federal government is pretty enormous.

And who still is not aware of this? How obtuse these folks are to EVER insinuate that blue states should not demand and expect federal funds when they need it.

Wallet Hub that did not even look at SS and Medicare?

It would make you think that someone was a Hard working New Yorker for 50 years and then decides to move to Kentucky to retire and now they are a freeloader?

Look at their methodology its a ****ing joke.

They have a higher concentration of high income residents, you don't believe in taxing the rich?

I think this is the wrong angle anyways. The issue shouldn't be state aid and who gets what, it should be a focus on the absurd figure Democrats are asking for plus the fact they want conditions on what states can spend it on relaxed as well for no good reason. There simply no justification for that amount, for one the amount of aid already able to be spent is only about 25% depleted and for two even Democrat analysts have indicated the state shortfall will only be about $500 billion by 2022. So why are the feds on the hook for double the amount of a deficient that hasn't even happened yet?

Why shouldn't the Dems accept the Repubs offers of lesser initial sums and then go to work tightening their own budgets up then we can revisit the problem in 2022? Why hold up relief checks for people who cant wait in order to give an already bloated hog more fat? What possible justification is there in this strategy? I can think of only one: its not about the money since they know they'll get it one way or another, its about not letting Pres Trump look like he had a win when all he would do is sign the damn thing once its worked out. I think the Dems are that selfish and that callous. They talk a damn big game about helping the unfortunate but here's their grand chance and all they want to do is line their pockets? Fkin A....

That is due to the highest concentrations of the very wealthy, why you don't believe in taxing the rich?

Why would the democrats allow relief to people they truly despise?
