    She was making one hell of a high salary, for a city of less than a million residents. The Police commissioner of Philly, a MUCH LARGER city, only makes $240,000.

    You just painted a large group of people with a broad stroke. Thats what racists do. The truth is the group you call "Cops and cop lovers" consist of mostly good people and it is not fair or honest to make them responsible for the actions of a few.

    With the money they save on cutting cops, they can have victim orientation classes to prepare citizens for what is coming.

    She took RETIREMENT, she was earning $285,000 per year a VERY HIGH SALARY for a police chief of a city with under one million population. If all of Seattle cops are as overpaid as she was, then maybe they do need to cut the budget.

    During the first eleven months 0f 2017, Seattle paid out about $2 million as compensation to citizens whose civil rights were violated by the Seattle Slave Patrol. Some years the bill is over $3 million.

    Seattle has a fairly low black population of 7%, and 6.6% Hispanic. The police chief is retiring at age 55 with about 28 years on the force. If her retirement income is based on a percentage of her current salary, then it is clear why she is leaving before they cut her pay. Self serving.

    Yea....that's not a lot. Probably just a handful of incidences. Those settlements are always large so it looks bad when you put a dollar amount on it but the number of instances is really low.

    So again....you posted nonsense to push an agenda.

    In addition to Best's $285,000 salary, 364 police department employees made over 200K, and 1326 made over 100k in 2019. Seattle has a very large police department budget.

    If you want to see Democrat implementation of what they want their police force to look like, look no farther than CHAZ.

    It's not that Democrats don't want police, it's just that they want their form of policing.

    You know, more like the "African warlord" setup.
