Document exposes new US plot to overthrow Nicaragua’s elected socialist gov’t

Nicaragua is part of John Bolton's "Troika of Tyranny," along with Venezuela and Cuba.

A USAID document (PDF) details its plan for administering "Nicaragua’s transition to democracy" - a euphemism for removing the leftist Sandinista Front (FSLN) from power. It declares that one of its "top mission goals" is for Nicaragua to "transition to a rules-based market economy" based on the "protection of private property rights."

We should just take it over and let all the illegals go there instead.

    It's closer for them anyways.

Having been raised as kid in Cuba I learned to hate communism. Everywhere it is overturned gets a thumbs up from me. I won't bring up the turds of the progressives.

Hate communism but love imperialism and fascism?

I know many Cubans like that.

What's wrong with any of that? Socialist governments should be overthrown whether they were put into power by election or not.

I'm not a Cuban. I'm an American. But I tell you I know more about Cuba and Cubans than you do.

You have failed to understand the communist nature of Nicaragua before. You are still wrong about that.

You have no idea what communism is - and certainly no clue how this relates to Nicaragua - and clearly are unaware of the history of the region - w/r to the US.

but regardless of your relative state of awareness - If you favor arming and training death squads - who drag children over barbed wire "till the flesh hangs from their bones" in front of their parents - you are welcome to your opinion.

That you try and justify this position on the basis of some workers wanting more rights and not to be treated as slaves - because you have demonized this activity as "Communism" - is preposterous nonsense.

You said most of that the last time. It is incorrect.

Can't make any sense out of this unintelligible gibberish ... Did my last post reduce you to a crumpled pile - rocking back and forth - murmuring to yourself ?

Said most of what - and what is incorrect ?

Up from the floor lad - stand up straight and speak your mind. Tell me what I have stated that is incorrect :oldman::oldman::oldman:

I'm not sure what social democracy is but there isn't even a hint of democracy in Nicaragua. Like all communist systems it has an authoritarian government.

Prove your claim that there is no hint of democracy in Nicaragua.

Prove a negative? Nice try. You prove that it is a democracy.

Not asking you to prove a negative - show an article backing up your claim - anything that shows you are not just making stuff up.

I know for a fact that in the past - elections were held in Nicaragua - has something changed that you want to tell us about - where all vestiges of democracy have been wiped out - and the Country is now a Totalitarian Dictatorship - Communist Style ?

    Do Tell -

Corporate media facilitates US imperialism. Media companies have never acknowledged an enemy country as a democracy. They define populism as "authoritarian."

Interesting opinion but there is no democracy at all in Nicaragua and probably not in Bolivia either. It takes more than having a constitution that calls for democracy and then holding a sham election.

It seems like a contingency plan with three likely scenarios. Do you think that the world should tolerate authoritarian regimes? Or should it intervene to restore the peoples' right to an electable government? Is there another option?

I think countries should mind their own business (particularly the U.S.} and let the citizens of other countries do whatever they are going to do to get the government they want.
