This is where I should start over. Again, my apologies for posting in the wrong thread about another incident of violence.

I agree that self defense is a natural human right. I don't agree that violence is the only way to do that.

 

For Antifa and BLM this is a "black and blue" rally.

I'm sure the IRA trolls will make a substantial impact in the next election(Rofl). But if Biden/Harris win, we won't hear a word about interference.

No. You need to read what I wrote, not what you think I wrote.
I didn’t offer any opinion on who actually started the assaults.

It looked to me like the “back the blue” crowd were the aggressors - they were walking towards the others, backing them up. And I saw some assaults when the crowd moved into the ditch.

I couldn’t see who threw the first punch. Could you?

 

Nope, that's why I cant say who started it, even just to say it "looked like" is absolute speculation.

 

I didn’t suggest which group “started it”. I explicitly said I couldn’t tell who threw the first punch.
But one group was backing up the others, and yelling at them while they were doing so. That group appeared to be the aggressors.

That seems to be the attitude of the “back the blue” group. They seemed to be the aggressors in that confrontation, and some of them certainly appeared to commit assaults.

 

They are not the ones hiding behind mask, destroying property and assaulting the innocent. So the fascist thugs got outnumbered. Big deal. They did not get to go harrass people at their homes and tear up their property.

Most people see that as a good thing.

 

I have no problem right up to the part that violence starts. Intimidating them out of the neighbourhood is fine. But I saw some things that looked like assaults from the back the blue side. I didn’t see any from the other side in this clip.

I’ve seen lots of videos of Antila protests that turn violent. I find those images abhorrent. The perpetrators of violence and property destruction should be held accountable - regardless of the political views they hold.

Fair enough. I agree with that. It's just so heartbreaking to hear about all the fighting between various groups and what has it done? Nothing but kill countless people and create long-term animosity on all sides.

 

No but self defense is.

I agree also. Though, tbh, there isn't much that can be done about my animosity toward authoritarian collectivists. I've always had it and I always will. It is important to keep it channeled defensively though.

 

All we can do is our best, right?

 

Anyone that congregates where there is something going on they don’t agree with is there to cause trouble.
