    Kamala Harris: Deranged sociopath

Beloved of the Democrat Elite, she is a more horrifying monster than Hillary.

As bad as Biden is, Harris is infinitely worse.

That the Democrat Elite fell in love with her is a sign of their shared sociopathy.

Rice has NO charisma. She should be enlisted in an advisory capacity. Harris is, by far, the better choice, hands down.

The fact you disapprove of them so much is definitely a major point in their favor... :roflol:

I think the only exception may be picking someone who can motivate a group that doesn’t consistently turn out to the polls.

I like watching Trump defenders try to paint Kamala as both too tough on crime and too weak on crime at the same time.

Boneheaded pick. The second worst possible (that Scientology fan would have been even worse). A senator already soundly rejected by the Dem electorate, who else would she seduce (pun intended), the Republicans? Not even the African Americans. She had ONE good moment in a debate, and that moment was... going after the nominee. California is already deep blue. I can't comprehend this pick, except if Biden wants to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

You should study the 2008 Democratic presidential primary, and then the general election. Biden got less than 1% of the primary vote, and came out of it with 8 years as Vice President. Just sayin'...

I will give it a shot, but I would start by noting a couple of problems with the logic here. First, every candidate but Biden or Bernie was arguably "soundly rejected by the Dem electorate" in the sense that they did not win a significant number of votes in the primaries. But she won a State wide race in one of the most blue, and most populous States of the country - so I think it is difficult to argue that she is not liked by the Democratic electorate/base.

But to the point about her bringing a State that he was already going to win, the historical evidence for the theory that VPs are chosen because they can help you win a State or a Demographic has, at best, mixed results. The data supports that people almost never make their choice based on the VP. We only have one historical precedent for a female VP and zero historical precedents for a minority VP, so maaaaybe that will have some impact there. But I think most experts would agree that any impact created by her being a female minority would get lost in the noise created by other factors - like the fact that those demographics have very strong disapprovals for Trump already or the impact that Covid-19 is likely going to have on turnout.

Arguably, Kamala Harris ticks two major boxes for VP. The first is that she is extremely unlikely to do any harm. She carries very little baggage as far as I can see. The three primary talking points that I have seen Trump defenders raise so far boil down to "she was too tough on crime," "she slept her way to the top," and "she is power hungry because she went from criticizing Biden to working for him."

Two of those carry the likelihood that they will just blow up in their face because accusing her of "sleeping her way to the top" is just going to piss off more female voters and accusing her of being "too tough on crime" is just going to directly undercut one of Trump's primary campaign messages for himself. The third talking point - that she is "power hungry" in that she is willing to be the VP for a guy that she criticized during the debates - just doesn't seem all that effective because it is true of literally every politician.

The second major box that she ticks is that she can do the job of President from day one. She is arguably one of the most qualified VPs in US history. She held multiple State-wide positions (AG and Senator) for the most populous State of the Country for nearly a decade combined. She is also super well versed in legislative and legal aspects of government as demonstrated during her multiple instances of questioning administration officials during Senate Hearings.

P.S. I would note that I saw the "one of the most qualified VPs in US history" from a tweet, so I would take it with a massive grain of salt until someone can do a little more research on the topic.

This is the pick that the trump campaign was most scared of - or at least, the least happy with.

Presidential elections are not won and lost on the VP pick. Here is what someone said about choosing a VP running mate, in order of priority
    1. Someone who would be able to be president on day 1 if necessary
    2. Someone who the president can work with
    3. Political considerations

Politics is a distant 3rd. I have to say that on those criteria, Trump picked a good VP. But I think Biden has as well, assuming he thinks he can work with her.

Neither Biden nor Harris is my first choice, but the most important civic duty is this country is to remove Trump from office so we do what we must do.

Question: Is mother going to give Pence permission to debate Harris? I mean, I don't know how appropriate it is for a married man to share a stage with a woman not his wife.

This will be interesting, she's female, she's mixed race, she's young enough to take over from Biden. She ticks many positive boxes. Question is will she win over the Sanders supporters given her legal background and is she mainstream enough to win over blue collar dems?

    Yup, you just NAILED it!

She has the role of dealing with the wannabe Fascist-in-Chief's nasty BS on Twitter.

Furthermore she has already PROVEN that she can take him DOWN with a single tweet.

She is smart, tough and has experience dealing with criminals like the wannabe Fascist-in-Chief.

In that regard she has Biden's back which is a good thing for the Dems.
