Putting aside the dubious ethics of having psychiatrists give their opinions about someone they have not examined, these were not alleged psychiatrists nor did their opinions constitute a conspiracy theory.

"Primed with this prejudicial information, 2,417 psychiatrists responded. Among them, 511 said, “We don’t know enough” (I was among that group); 657 said they thought Goldwater fit; and 1,189 opined that he was not fit. Among the last group were many distinguished psychiatrists, including academics and many leading figures in the profession. Not surprisingly Goldwater was furious. He successfully sued Ginzburg and his magazine. The jury awarded him $1 in compensation, $25,000 in punitive damages against Ginzburg, and $50,000 in punitive damages against Fact magazine; it was upheld on appeal to the Second Circuit."

Being that you are a Trumpleton, what in the world makes you think you are in a position to judge whether Dems are honorable?

No. They were the first clients. The Clinton campaign were the second.

Ok good. It really sounded like that but being an infraction you had to back off. Good job

Because you know... I take the Russian interference in our elections very seriously

Hold on. It presumes no such thing. Let's take this one topic at a time. So you do admit that Qanon fanatics are nutjobs. Ok.... We have established that the "deep state" conspiracy creators are complete lunatics. And you want to make a point that they are neither the first nor the only nutjobs in existence.

Without even bothering to go into your examples (of which I know nothing), I can acknowledge without reservations that there are nutjobs on the left too. But it's not the topic of this thread.

I needed that laugh. You can be a QAnoner or you can be rational. Can't be both. Their "research" is no different from the looney "research" that every other conspiracy theorists claims to have done. They are lunar landing deniers on steroids.

But, hey, how about we take a look at some of these guys "thinking for themselves."

So you say - and as you should - but is it just "Russian Interference" or any foreign interference that you take seriously.

My post did not refer to Russian Interference - and the term "Russiagate" includes things other than Russian interference... but I suppose that would be part of it.

What is it that you take seriously about Russian interference ?

I must be missing something here.

What do you refer to with Russiagate... if not the investigation of Russian interference on our elections?

I said it was part of it -so quit trying to deflect by trying to argue a granted point - I merely stated that there was more to Russiagate than that.

    Simple clarification questions -

    1) Do you take any foreign interference seriously - or just Russian
    2) What is it you take seriously about Russian Interference/ interference in general ?

It really isn't surprising. Just a reminder of some of the lunatic conspiracy theories Trump has helped spread:

    - The Clinton kill list
    - Birtherism
    - Joe Scarborough killing his intern
    - Cruz's father involved in the JFK assassination
    - Vaccines causing autism
    - Scalia was murdered
    - Millions of illegal voters
    - Asbestos is safe
    - Hurricane Maria numbers were faked to make him look bad

Good - we are on the same page.... Was our democracy attacked ? I agree that there is foreign influence in our electoral process - much of which we allow .. but "Attacked" That indicates something above influence.

Did the FB adds "Attack" our electoral process - I suppose but - like a raindrop in a hurricane if you are calling these ads an "Attack" - the ones I saw stated the truth - were not "propaganda" like an caption of Bernie Sanders stating _ The Clinton Foundation is a problem !

Bernie said this numerous times. So if anyone was "influenced" by this horrendous attack - they would have already been influenced as Bernie repeated this often .. so bad attempt at influence - never mind "Attack" just on that basis.

but OK - there was a foreign attempt at influence - What did this have to do with Trump ? - ZERO - and this is why the investigation was a Kangaroo Clown Show - not because Russia tried to influence the elections.

I know quite a bit about it and have detailed the basics of it before. But feel free to try to redefine QAnon to make it more palatable. The actual QAnon conspiracy theory is pure lunacy, claiming Trump was secretly recruited by the military to take on a secret cabal of child traffickers, including people like Clinton and Obama, and that the Mueller investigation was secretly an investigation into this cabal, Mueller having been recruited by Trump and the whole Russia thing just being a cover.

That's the gist of some of the very first drops. This is basically the core of the whole Q thing from back when it was on 4chan.

We are NOT on the same page.

You are bending over backwards to excuse Russian interference in the 2016 election

I have not excused Russian Influence - it is you who has bent over backwards and sideways to avoid

    1) quantifying the significance of that interference -
    2) relating interference to the central question .. what does this have to do with Trump ? Specifically - the FB Ads

    cat got your tongue ?

I call a spade a spade - because that is reality. Since you can not handle this reality - you revert to "demonization of the other", name calling and ad hom fallacy in order to avoid having to defend your lost position.

I have experienced this "denial/avoidance" response many times in religious discussions with fundamentalist religious right adherents who can not deal reality that conflicts with religious belief.

In the case of religious adherents this response is because some nasty cult leader has conditioned the adherent to use what are referred to as "Thought Stopping techniques"

    What is your excuse ?
