If you're talking about the looters and arsonists, I think they're thugs and should be arrested. They have an agenda--stealing and wrecking.
If you're talking about the peaceful marchers, they have a wish list that includes universal health care, reduced college tuition, better treatment of minorities and women, higher minimum wage, help with affordable housing, childcare, and work on the climate problem.
I had the experience of teaching high school and adults over several decades, so I may have a different view of these folks. My daughter (1991 high school class) ... they were joiners. The went to the gym, didn't smoke, and less frequently used drugs. But then came the Millennials. They're not like the typical Boomer.

They do have the same sense Boomers had that one day we will run things. All but the uneducated in their ranks are okay with other races and cultures, and they understand what people of color have to put up with. They would often rather have experiences than things--travel, dining out. They care about climate change. Women have a healthy sense of themselves and have a perspective they want to bring to the table. Work is a means to an end.

They're coming and they generally reject what they see as the Boomers' racism, sexism, homophobia, and greed.
They might argue over the idea of reparations, but no one thinks looting a store is okay.
The woman marginalize herself. The one thing that generation is not are followers.
Who are you going to lock up? Looters and arsonists? I hope so. The Millennials marching for social justice? No, you should respect their rights.
Born and raised in Southern California. Added a Canadian citizenship. Live part of the year in Oregon, part in British Columbia. Right now, I'm staying in BC full time because Canada decided to control the virus.

The state legislature control the public universities in their state.
Their usefulness isn't a settled matter.

My $120/year tuition at Long Beach State in 1968 was the equivalent of $1000/year today. In high school, I made $3.05/hour and double-time on Sunday. I could pay my tuition for the year with three Sundays work.

Are you prepared to cut tuition to $1000/year?

I also ran a business, wrote computer software, and was involved in politics.

You won't find many liberals, either. Antifa has almost no community support because of their fighting with police.

You should ask the leftists setting the cost of "tuition".

Good thing I remembered to put that in quotes.

    I'm asking you.

Why wouldn't you support lower tuition?

Why would you ask me? I don't control it.

    It's really quite simple.

Leftists in charge of colleges charge exorbitant fees to teach you that having a penis makes you a female, and when those kids can only get jobs at McDonalds and default on their approved government loan, the rest of us pay for it anyway.

The leftists in the college and the leftists in Congress work to make sure they churn out massive debt on young people while handing them degrees in things that will never allow them to earn a living.

Then the people who fleeced them tell them they're victims, then victims stupidly keep voting for the people fleecing them because they weren't taught the ability to think critically in school, and around their scam goes.

College is, to a large degree, a waste of time and intelligent people are waking up to this fact.

With the exception of degrees in fields that actually teach valuable skills, of course. You know, the "racist" degrees.

You're dodging my question. Would you favor cutting tuition to $1000/year?
Still dodging, this time with an absurd claim.
Still avoiding my question and then make up stuff.
    More BS.
University is a scam. How would you know if you never attended?
    Uh huh.

"Men with bachelor's degrees earn approximately $900,000 more in median lifetime earnings than high school graduates. Women with bachelor's degrees earn $630,000 more. Men with graduate degrees earn $1.5 million more in median lifetime earnings than high school graduates. Women with graduate degrees earn $1.1 million more."

    More made up nonsense.

It's pretty obvious you're more than happy to load up young people with education debt. And you're hiding behind a barrage of wild statements.

Look at you with the lamest bunch of garbage that I have seen in weeks. Quite a feat. The two articles you offered about Pelosi and Schumer condemning Antifa are three years old. They still haven't condemened their acts of violence in the past 6 months. They are banking on it. It still stands that they haven't condemned the violence in Portland, Seattle, Chicago or DC. As for the Portland Mayor. He only did something after his epic failure to do anything. He allowed Antifa to go wild at the beginning. Then he blamed ICE and DHS for the violence. The police took over and now they have left because the DA is only going to prosecute 50 of the more than 500 cases that the state police arrested. The only choice for mayor is the existing epic failure as "Antifa Mayor" is even more pathetic than the one that currently holds the office. I hope that the people on the left continue to lie and obfuscate about the current situation. They are only destroying cities and turning them into crapholes. Businesses are leaving these cities in droves. Insurance companies are starting to look at these cites as risks. Taxes will go up even further than they are now. The crime rate will skyrocket. So please continue and drive those votes to us. We will take them.

I'm not dodging anything. I answered the question, which was a really dumb question, regardless.

Who but the leftists running the colleges, and the leftists giving them government funding for kickbacks, benefits from higher education's exorbitant fees?

"Gender theory" isn't an absurd claim. It's one of the many useless degrees you can obtain in colleges, thanks to the left.

See you're not paying attention here either. I said much of college was worthless, and specified degrees that graduates find useless in the real world.

Who said I didn't go to college? I've got two degrees in STEM fields.

Sure, you can earn a lot of money with a bachelors degree. In a field other than "gender studies" or "deconstructing racism" or whatever else stupid leftists subject themselves to.

It's more like de-education, to be honest.

It's more than obvious that you're bad at trying to apply your little strawman argument to your faux debate.

Are you opposed to reducing university tuition to $1,000 per year?
More for you, less for others. What do you care if a 23-year-old has a six-figure university debt?
What do you know about the "real world?" You strike me as someone with some technical training who has a very limited knowledge of history, geography, politics, economics, and just about everything that impacts people.
The simple solution is to cut tuition costs for technical subjects.
All this BS from you to cover your unwillingness to support cutting tuition costs for young people. Egads.

LoL $1000 a year. I'm curious what orifice you pulled that one out of.

Although I guess if you're getting your typical leftist degree, they should be paying you instead. Only seems fair.

No one is forcing anyone to take out a six figure loan to go to college. This goes back to my aforementioned "smart people are figuring out the scam" part. Maybe I'll have to explain it to you some more first.

Well throw a daily double at me Alex and give it a shot. I certainly know more about history than any leftist, because if they understood history, they wouldn't be leftists.

And you close with your usual strawman, over-simplified, stupid assumption. Well done.

As I explained, it would be the CPI adjusted equivalent of the $120/year I paid at Long Beach State.
Oh, "smart people" who tell us this...
