So it's not that he is unable to his job, he needs to be removed because they don't like what he is doing...

Yah let’s have congress throw out the president every couple years. That sounds like a good idea. I hate when politicians act like the other side will never be in power again.

Section 4 of Amendment 25 can't be initiated by Congress. Frankly, I doubt she suggested that it could be. Seems like a fake argument.

    "This man has no shame."

What she means is he won't let them control him by shaming him. Which may indeed make him seem crazy to folks who live their lives catering to the whims of the mob...

Heres hoping theres still enough emotionally independent individualists left to get him re-elected.

Actually it's about Decomposing Joe. they know he can't win so they need to find a way to cheat. Hence the new obsession with the USPS.

The Postal Service says it can't handle the entire nation voting by mail in a timely manner and they need an extra eleventy quadrillion (I don't remember, but a lot) in emergency funds to do it. Trump doesn't think the entire nation needs to vote by mail. I think he's right.

Whats more, is that most states arent even allowed to mass-vote by mail according to their own state constitutions, so unless and until they get that figured out (which is very unlikely before the election), there no point in flooding the USPS with emergency funds they prolly won't even need to use.

Thats how Trump is 'hamstringing' the Post Office.

When I read about automatic mail sorters being taken offline, I don't equate that with some request by the Post Office for an extra eleventy quadrillion. I also note this admission by Trump. What say ye?

I didn't see anything there about sorting machines being deliberately shut down, but I know FedEx is (at least claiming to be) experiencing substantial delays do to people being quarantined as a result of contact tracing and not able to show up for work. Or so they claimed when my next-day shipment of flowmeters from Canada was 3 days late...

I suspect the postal service is similarly running on reduced manpower, which would necessarily slow down the mail.

I think half or more than half have no excuse absentee voting by mail. Some are even only by mail already

If you think so, report it. However, given the Thread Title, it is right on topic! So, go right ahead.

    Need more info.

The machines were scheduled for removal, as of June and to be completed by the end of September. When were they scheduled to be removed? Were they scheduled to be replaced? If they're big machines, they could have been scheduled for removal or replacement a year or more ago... Unions ime don't do that sort of thing on short notice or without ample bureacraric preparation.

CNN (as typical) did not provide these details.

CNN didn't include access to the documents they're citing. That coupled with the unreliability of their reporting lately doesnt engender a lot of worry on my part that they're telling the whole story this time. If there was more damning evidence to be found, they would have included it in the story. They didn't, so theres not.

If that picture at the bottom was one of the machines in question, then I can say with confidence that if removal was already underway in June, then bidding for contracts to do it went out more than a year ago. This has nothing to do with the virus or the election. Govt contract work is simply too slow.

Pull this apart, then. I love the lack of genuine concern in the face of an admission by Trump!

Maxine Waters is an idiot. If they could only get Democrats in the House to vote to impeach and Republican bad-loser malcontent Romney to vote for removal in the Senate resulting in acquittal, her claiming 2/3rds of both the House and Senate would remove Trump for refusing to agree to the House Democrat's 3 trillion dollar bailout mostly for failed Democratic city and state governments in absurd.
