Strange. I don't remember months of protests under Obama.

And you just proved my point that you know nothing about socialism.

Townhall would predict a Trump victory no matter what. They may be right, but it will be nothing but dumb luck.

Here’s some reading in the 2016 polls that makes the point. And it was no land slide, he lost the popular vote by almost exactly what was predicted by polling.

    https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/the-polls-are-all-right/

And you make a good point, why do polls this far out matter? They may be too early. But then again, you and the OP are ok with the ones that support your guy, given this thread exists, so a better question is why you only trust the polls you agree with?

Those Antifas are hard to catch. Have you caught any? I'd like to see one.

That reminds me of Trump's "the world is tiny compared to the universe" wisdom.

No, protests begin and end. Abbie Hoffman died in '89.

The popular vote isn't the presidential electorate.
That isn't the question I asked. I asked why do polls matter? And the answer is, because they are supposed to be predictive of who will win the actual contest. For someone to try to claim that poll was "accurate" that reversed the totals of the electorate is to make up the meaning of the word.
If their methodology is consistent, they should give us some sense of trend.

If you want to think that Biden/Harris are a great pick and that they are enjoying a fine bounce while Trump flounders, hey, be my guest.

The polls claiming that Biden had a double digit lead were fake news and I said the entire time that these same polls would greatly tighten by Labor Day, if not be within the margin of error.

Buy hey, if you are enjoying them, indulge.

Do you really think that Biden is going to take the battle ground states by 4.2 points?

Watch the news from Portland or Seattle most nights. And there are about a thousand of them arrested and charged with various federal crimes from attempted arson if a federal building and attempted murder on down.

Choosing Tiffany to address the convention was smart.
RP strategists seem to have a lot more savvy than their DP counterparts.
But that's a very low bar.

Yes. The DNC looked like low budget youtubers with technical issues, while the RNC convention looked professionally produced. Very upbeat positive messages from several speakers. It's always nice when the Electorate gets such a clear choice.

And, no bounce for Biden detected by CBS news poll. None, zip, zero, nada.
    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/republ...s-opinion-poll-cbs-news-battleground-tracker/

The only other candidate in modern history to completely fail to get a bounce was John "Reporting For Duty" Kerry who went on to lose to Dubya.

CBS finds No Bounce for Biden.

Now all the Fake News Folks are trying to claim, this is the new normal, even though the only nominee not to get a bounce in the modern era was John Kerry, who lost to Dubya. Everyone else has gotten a bounce.

Democratic National Convention Fell Flat with Viewers. “The Democratic National Convention failed to draw many viewers this year making things look worse for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris than expected.”

So now the Fake News is treating us to the soft bigotry of Joe expectations, while the RNC is putting out a nicely polished convention with a very bright sunny optimistic message.

"Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.), who has made a fight against corporate special interests a centerpiece of his front-running campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination, has raised more money from paid lobbyists than any other senator over the past 15 years, federal records show."

Yup. And during the Spying Obama/Biden Administration, both Kerry's and Biden's sons sold their Dad's offices to the Lying Outlaw Slaver Regime in Beijing.

It is bad enough when Big Bad US Businesses buy our corrupt politicians and officials.
When Big Bad CCP Business buys them the corruption tilts toward treason.

"Business views the political system as a source of business advantage. Anything can be a business advantage-- a subsidy, a tax break, an entry barrier, a spurt in the rate of economic growth, a government purchase, a regulatory move that hurts a competitor, etc."

"Thus business's agenda has an open-ended mercurial, opportunistic character. If one strategy for gaining a benefit gets nowhere, it is soon dropped in favor of a project with better prospects. As a result, companies and trade associations never know who their allies and enemies will be in the future. That is why business likes to go along with those in power and hates to oppose them."
The Suicidal Corporation, How Big Business Fails America, Paul H. Weaver, Simon and Schuster Inc. 1988., p. 166.
