    The total viewers will be released this afternoon for the first night of the GOP Convention. The democrats Convention was lauded by the media as a great success while Monday night for the Republicans has been deemed a miserable failure by the MSM. Funny thing is more people decided to watch the GOP's convention. I guess the media can explain this anomaly by saying that people like watching a train wreck. The LA times said it was "mostly white", despite the fact that the speakers included minority women of Guatemalan heritage, a Cuban American man, a black female GOP congressional candidate, former NFL football legend Hershal Walker, former Fox personality Kimberly Guilfoyle who is Hispanic, Nikki Haley who is of Indian heritage and a former Governor of South Carolina and embassador to the UN, and black GOP Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina and many other persons of color.

    One night of “misstatements” by RNC speakers absolutely blew away four nights of the DNC speakers. And, of course, the RNC is in victimization mode. It’s the MSM’s fault they lie so much.

    RNC, no one expects you to be perfect but please make an effort. We know your leader wants to inhabit the moon but please don’t speak as if you’re from the moon.

    Ah crap, you got me. I must be a anti-Martian racist.

    Cspan got more dem convention views than their own livestream. So if the republicans are getting 6x views already than the democrats best effort thats pretty pathetic for the democrats.

    By day 2 of the DNC convention, it was so depressing that I'm sure most just chose to turn it off. It was nothing but a pity party of doom and gloom. At least Obama's DNC conventions were uplifting and inspirational and worth watching. Biden's was dark and morbid.

    People probably wanted to see the St Louis couple that threatened people on their property. What exactly was the convention supposed to be about? Contradicting Trumps Twitter history?

    Here are the ratings beyond just c span:
    The first night of the Republican National Convention averaged 15.9 million viewers on Monday, a sharp drop of 28% from 2016.

    The audience figure from Nielsen was also below the opening night of last week’s Democratic National Convention which averaged 18.7 million viewers over the three major English language broadcast networks and three leading cable news channels.

    The audience for the Democrats on the first night of their convention was also down about 28% from 2016.

    The drop can also be attributed to the continued decline in television usage especially among viewers under age 50.

    I watch the RNC for pure comedy, I wouldn’t look too much into the TV ratings.

    Normally i would call this #FakeNews because it's based on polls but i have an idea this may be true. I tried watching it on Fox News and they were talkimg over the speakers. Then i tried MSNBC. Then i just went to YouTube. I heard CNN covered it all. Good for #FakeNews CNN.
