    Totally WRONG.

    1) He most like DIDN'T get "a pile of money".

    2) Legal experts who deal with the cases like this (and have much greater expertise than "talking heads" trying to push a narrative (at places like Breitbart) estimated his settlement at $50k).

    3) My estimate of $25k from CNN was accounting for attorneys being subtracted.

Obviously, nobody knows exactly what he got.

But, based on Legal EXPERTS, it is Much More LIKELY that he got a settlement in the $50k range (than the "Untold Millions" that exist in "MSM Bad" Breitbart Fantasyland).

That said, if the other 3 cases follow the same pattern (and depending on the greed of his attorneys), he could end up (from All 5 Suits) with somewhere in the range of $200k.

Which is still a good chunk of change for an 18-Year-Old Kid.

That law firm does not let deep pocketed slanderers get of easy. CNN would have had to pay through the nose to avoid a jury trial. Everyone knows it.
The MSM can get away with defaming a public figure, but the Fake News Team really stepped in it when they cancelled that kid.
Especially stupid after they had already been fully exposed by Richard Jewell.

What's wrong with the kid defending his honor and being paid for it? It's an American way. How can I be wrong?

Ah yes... it takes Democrat to not see it this way.

Not what I said at all. Simply stated that claiming he won any kind of lawsuit was incorrect.

MacDonalds actually had people who went around and checked the temperature of the coffee and it had to be 165 all the time. This is way too hot, practically boiling in the cup, they changed that afterward.

It doesn't look like the "kid" did anything but it doesn't look like the Indian did anything either. Why did he have to pay?

Well.... when the TBS financials come out in their annual report for 2020, i bet we'll be able to discover how much of their "operating costs" were chunked out for this litigation, unless they actually line out how much it was specifically. Either way, eventually, this will be known.

The blowhards at CNN are still seething that a teenager got the better of them. Imagine having your life and reputation thoroughly destroyed by people like Joe then getting publicly insulted by him. If i were Sandman and i heard this comment i'd be parading my smug ass on T.V every chance i got. The fact it would raise they're blood pressure is all the compensation i'd need, keep up the water works pal you'll need the practice for November....

Only made it half way through this thread and I just had to chime in. Even though the left can see for themselves that Sandmann did nothing but stand there and smile, the left wing hateful media told them Sandmann's a racist and the left denies what they can see with their own eyes and fully believes he's a racist, and they did that to the point of wanting to punch him in the face and put him in a wood chipper. Is it any wonder why hoaxes work so well on them.

I didn't watch the whole thing but for me that was the best moment of the night.

I thought Maximo Alavarez knocked it out of the ballpark on Night 1, too:

I have friends who lived in the Soviet Union, Czechoslovakia and communist Bulgaria and I wish every young skull of "progressive" mush who never had to live with socialism/communism would listen to their stories, too.

I was unaware the old man payed anything. As far as I know there were no lawsuits against him.

So if you are an attorney who has been dreaming of this perfect slam dunk to be heard in front of a jury, why settle for less money?

CNN knew they were culpable. Otherwise they would have taken it to the end. It wasn’t all about money. It was about wrongdoing and guilt and CNN caved. WaPo settled. We will see about the others. Lockhart needs to be canceled now. What a deplorable human being he is!

At least they went after a young adult this time. Last I heard the democrat's recent blood lust was over a little 7 yr old boy wearing a hat they didn't like.

Obviously Sandman won enough to trigger everyone out there in leftieland. I have never seen so many so riled up over a kid taking money from a handful of fake news outlets.
If Trump knew he could stir the pot that easily he might just bring Nick back in tomorrow night.

Respect someone beating a drum in your face trying to force you to leave? The kid did good.

They would spend less on a wrongful death settlement because there is no intent. Its an accident.

In a case like this, they don't pay to make the kid whole, they pay to keep from being adjudicated and knowingly falsifying a story on a 17 year old for money. Thats what they are paying for.

The media falsely portrayed Sandman and his fellow students as the aggressors and singled Sandman out. The suit had nothing to do with the little drummer. The suit was against CNN and other media outlets.
