A correction: actually it's not 13 studies supporting it, but rather ten. Three of them were inconclusive because no infection happened in either group, all three adding N95 respirators, so, maybe that's why no events occurred in either group, but at least these three have nothing detrimental against eye protection, while the other ten did find definitive advantages for eye protection over no eye protection.

It is refreshing to see a crowd of protesters, duly masked (although not keeping 6ft from each other, but not too densely packed either):

What hatred? All I and others said is he doesn’t seem to grasp the concept of debate. Extremely long rambling diatribes are impossible to respond to and are known in the world of debate as Gish Gallop.

Took too long to take the virus seriously in his rhetoric only though, right? What negative implications did this have?

The Dems wouldn't have banned travel AT ALL - at least not anywhere even CLOSE to when Trump did. Biden called it xenophobic! Anyway, what do you mean by "incomplete?" Just the exceptions? Who are you saying shouldn't have been allowed in? I assume that you don't think that any US citizens should have been locked out of their own country. I also wonder what "RIGOROUS quarantine of arrivals" you think should have been in place. Funny, the travel ban is something that I've not heard the dems attack Trump on since Biden hypocritically complained about it, when he LAUGHABLY said that it should have been implemented sooner while he called it xenophobic - so I have to believe that there was basically nothing wrong with it. Remember, the dems attack Trump on anything that they can!

What would his support of masks have achieved exactly?

What do you mean by "touted?" All he did was promote it's POTENTIAL! He never ONCE called it a cure.

You make it sound like this was a PERSONAL decision by Trump, but of course, it wasn't. Anyway, we don't know the reasons why this action was taken, we don't know if there was something which replaced it and we can't say that had it NOT been dismantled, it would have made any difference.

Are you referring to when he has joked about slowing the testing? You don't actually think that he dictatorially
ordered the slowing of testing do you? Surely not! Somehow I think we would have heard one or two leaks about this!

Well that can't be political obviously given that Fauci was complicit in that, as well as MANY people outside of the conservative political camp.

Can't that be put down to incompetence?

Can't that be put down to the ever evolving situation with the pandemic? It seems that every single day there is a change, and with change surely comes policy adaption.

I go back to your OP, where you said that, "wearing a mask has been PROVEN to help prevent the spread." Did the study you read actually say that it was "PROVEN?"

Pretty much yeah. It clearly showed wearing a mask stopped the majority of droplets and the few that got through didn’t travel nearly as far.

Some mask work better that others but even a bandana works surprisingly well

Why do you refuse to follow the advise of experts by refusing to wear a face shield when in public?

Everyone of them is refusing to wear a face shield like Dr. Fauci and other experts recommend because they want to spread covid-19 to as many people as possible - infecting millions of people. They should be charged with crimes against humanity and mass murder.

    Keep telling yourself that.

I know 2 people who became infected while fully clothed in accordance with hospital protocol, and likely there are many more.

That’s a bit much for me and is about protecting yourself. A mask is about protecting others

As I stated a mask is apparently more effective at protecting others not yourself

Apparently, by the standard of common sense.

Scientifically, there is no proof. What lab tests conducted with masks against the influenza virus since 1946 in this country, have shown no cause and effect relationship. That is, there is no proof that they work.

It's a grand idea for certain hypothetical situations, but for day in and day out experiences, there is no proof as to their efficacy.

On the other hand, as they are most often worn and treated in this country, they are terrific collectors of germs and bacteria our body normally exhausts by way of normal respiration.

Novel coronavirus differentiates the coronavirus which causes COVID-19 from the more commonly known coronaviruses which cause the common cold URI.

I'm reading a lot of medical stuff trying to get a half understanding. idk if I'm succeeding at that.

This is the study that convinced me mask are useful in stopping the spread of the virus.
