Where do I start? Besides reportedly spending $30 million on a project that should have never cost a penny over $100k, they did a shoddy job. They couldn't even have a full crowd for the convention because the whole garden had turned into .... into ... A SWAMP!

Good one... That irony is super rich for those on here capable of understanding that concept...

$30 million... all private donations ... possibly some of the same people who gave to Steve Bannon's Private Crumbling Border Wall??

Here's a great line from your OP URL

"CNN has reached out to the White House for comment on when the Rose Garden will be able to properly function."

It's been said (and proven) that everything Trump touches dies.... Apparently, that disorder is catching from husband to wife...

Err, there was a water drainage problem. Things like that go on every day in nearly every construction job near wetlands. Not worth getting your panties in a bunch over is it?
Maybe the disgruntled should just look at it like this when NYC is underwater and overrun with starving polar bears, the rose garden at the white house will be nice and dry for President Barron Trump's parties.

Landscaping overhauls sometimes require work on the back side. Par for the course.

I had a double take on that too. o_O

This Rose Garden hasn't flooded before to my memory. Amazing how the Trump family can basically screw up a lawn. It's almost as if they have never worked a day in their life.

In this case it was private contractors hand picked by Melania...

Yes that how that works. When you hire people to renovate your house and they forget to install the vapor barrier, it is your fault. You do realize how this works don't you? If the contractor screws up, the contractor fixes the problem at no cost to you. The renovation apparently was done at no cost to the taxpayer. If Biden believes this is campaign issue, he should use it in the election. I am sure it will impact the vote of dozens of eligible voters.

I was on a job that got shut down because the fill around a new sewer vault didn't have enough of the right size of gravel mixed in it and it turned into quicksand after the spring thaw and a guy almost drowned one night checking the H2S levels. It took a technical rescue team to get him out. If he hadn't had his cell phone with him, he'd be buried there right now and no one would know.

    **** happens.

Fix it and get over it.
