Un-twist those knickers. The first two paragraphs of your own link:

HOUSE Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and her counterparts in G7 member states, issued a declaration from its virtual summit to name the climate crisis “the existential threat of our time.”

Pelosi joined the leaders of parliament from Canada, the European Union, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United Kingdom for the online summit where the legislative leaders discussed both the environment and the coronavirus.

No violation of the Logan Act, it was a conference call with other leaders of their respective legislative branches.

You get 5 ROFL's for this one

    :roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol:

(It's a Trump "5", meaning I can add as many as I want)

There is no such thing as the Logan Act (anymore), and if there was, this wouldn't get to the parking lot of the ballpark of violating it.

This doesn't modify the current US "policies" on climate or commit us to a single action..

Besides, THIS summit had Bono AND the Dalai Lama appearing (virtually). How cool is that?

That is otherwise called violating the Logan Act. What do you think "negotiating with a foreign government" means???

Did you eliminate the Logan Act but just not tell anybody? Congress didn't so that leaves only you. Where did you put it?

To help you out I'll cite what is a violation of the Logan Act by quoting from it, ".....directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof.....

What, exactly, was negotiated? Be specific and provide links.

The law reads, "...... carries on any correspondence or intercourse with......." At any rate they negotiated climate change, pandemic and a couple of other topic "understandings".

What exactly are the negotiations they settle upon? What is up for signing?

Negotiation does not require any signing of anything. If you want the specific agreements it is easy to google it.

Traitors like Pelosi could care less, all she cares about is doing the dirty work her handlers tell her to do and taking home millions for doing it.

No, they discussed those things. No action was taken.

Pelosi does get involved in international affairs because she is needed to pass treaties through Congress.
If I were a foreign leader I’d prefer Mitch because a treaty confirmed by the senate has more power.
But, yeah, many international agreements require involvement of the Congress. Otherwise the agreements reached are subject to whims of the next administration - Obama’s Iran agreement and Paris accords are a good example of what happens when a POTUS negotiates something and doesn’t pass it through Congress to cement the agreement into the law.

It is no such thing. No policies were initiated or changed or deleted. It was a joint decision to recognize climate change as an issue in need of attention. That's all. Like the Green New Deal, it's a set of recommenations, not laws cast in stone.

Pelosi was doing her job. Sure wish Trump could do his.

Pelosi has nothing to do with treaties.

Who said anything about involvement? Of course congress is involved with foreign and international relations. But it is against the law for congress (or anybody outside the executive branch) to negotiate, communicate or have any intercourse with any foreign governmental entity or person about policy.

    She didn’t negotiate anything.
They just made a statement on climate change.
Don’t take it wrong, I don’t like pelosi, but just like I don’t like unsubstantiated attacks on Trump, I don’t like unsubstantiated attacks on other leaders.
If we want this country to exist beyond next 4-8 years, we (Moderates) should be reasonable and resist unnecessary unsubstantiated BS on both sides of the center.
I’m quietly hoping this weird year (or election cycle) will pass without our country descending into a civil war.

You would be helped if you actually understood the law. I posted it (#9 and #20, et al) but you can look it up in your Funk 'n Wagnalls. It is not Pelosi's job to communicate with other countries about policy; not only not her job, but illegal.

Negotiate was my word which should be close enough, but evidently not. The words in the law are, "correspondence or intercourse."

I think Pelosi is too old for that.

Sorry, couldn’t resist. I’m in a good mood this Sunday morning.

this isn't the first time Nancy P has ignored the law....remember when she flew to Syria to have tea with the murderous dictator Assad because then President Bush highlighted Assad was a evil dictator?
