That was rather a let down. Why even bother? You have to wonder how much that campaign stop cost them when that 16 minute speech could have just as easily and effectively been read from his house. If he isn't going to take press questions what value was there from having a few photographers and press people there in person?

His campaign is just a disaster from a marketing standpoint.

Trump didn't take questions from his flat table either. Just praise to make himself feel good.

Trump does a press conference almost daily and takes "gottcha' questions". Biden refuses to even take questions, unless he knows what they are in advance, they are softball questions, and he has a prepared teleprompter reply. I don't see how a POTUS can operate for 4 years and never speak without a teleprompter. Trump is rude, but Joe is unqualified if he can't or won't talk to people and answer difficult questions.

Can't wait for the debates, although I expect the Biden team to cancel.

Sure. Why not? Question. Answer. You just didn't find the answer acceptable and that's okay.

    That makes perfect sense. :confusion:

Joe Biden: "Cause if you could take care, if you were a quartermaster, you can sure in hell take care runnin' a, you know, a department store uh, thing, you know, where, in the second floor of the ladies department or whatever, you know what I mean?"

LOL Twitter will probably take that down or put a "fake news" caution on it.

    So hilarious! :roflol:

Biden tells boring lies/smears about Trump every time he reads a script. When Trump pulls a competitive lie/smear, he does it with style. lol

....oh, Twitter does have it flagged, letting everyone know it's parody/satire.

You give the pollsters more credit than I do. I think most of them are dishonest as they work hand in hand with the press. Their accuracy is based on the last two or three weeks of the election cycle. Up until then they can lie their ass off and say whatever they want to try and get the result they want. The numbers for the conservative always seem to "tighten up" towards the election.

Here are a few things that don't make sense in the polls so far. The polls show unprecedented support for Trump from Latinos and blacks and yet they show Trump down. To explain that the pollsters say his numbers are down with blue collar workers. I have a huge problem believing that. It makes no sense. His base is entrenched and hasn't budged. This could be explained by the joy that some conservatives get by screwing with pollsters and that a lot of conservatives identify the pollsters as complicate with the MSM and refuse to answer any questions. If that's the case the numbers are still wrong. Also rural voters that are mostly conservative usually won't answer pollsters either, if they even answer the phone for a number that they don't recognize.

For all those liberals that are to post that the polls were right because it was a national poll please look at the poll numbers for Clinton in her "blue wall" states where they were wrong also. Please don't force me to make you look foolish with real stats. That is just stupidity.

Reminds me of an old song by Rupert Holmes:

    If you like pinata coladas
And getting caught in the drain
    If you're not into winning
If you have half a brain
If you like masking up at midnight
In the basement on the cape
Then I'm the candidate you've looked for
Vote for Joe, while you gape.

    Check out this article.

    Jul 26, 2020,03:51pm EDT
‘We’ll Keep Asking Every Week’: Chris Wallace Says Biden ‘Not Available’ For Interview

"Wallace conducted a much-heralded interview with President Trump last week in which he frequently fact-checked him and cornered him into making several shocking declarations–such as that he wouldn’t commit to accepting the election results in November.

“Let Biden sit through an interview like this, he’ll be on the ground crying for mommy. He’ll say, 'Mommy, mommy, please take me home,'” Trump taunted in the interview.

Wallace later told colleague Bret Baier, “The fact is, the president is out there. He’s out there in this broiling heat with me for an hour, he took all the questions. You can like his answers or dislike them but he had answers and Joe Biden hasn’t faced that kind of scrutiny, hasn’t faced that kind of exposure.”

Wallace said on Fox News Sunday that he requested an interview with Biden this week, but that the former vice president’s team told Wallace he’s “not available.”

“We’ll keep asking every week,” Wallace declared before signing off."

Trump sat with Stephanapolus for more than an hour last night and took every question. Where is Biden? Biden be Hidin.

Look, another article about Hidin Biden.

Biden's 'laid-back' schedule stands in contrast to Trump's with seven weeks left in election campaign

I think Biden will win the popular vote by a wider margin than Hillary did, due to mail-in ballots being sent to every registered Californian, live or dead. I have read that Democrats need a 5% popular vote lead to get a chance at the electoral college. As always, swing states and independents will be the deciders.

For any demographic where Trump may have lost ground, there is another demographic where he can make that up.

Pollsters publishing really a rosy and optimistic outlook for Biden is supposed to discourage Trump supporters from voting. That seems like a backfire strategy to me, completely backwards. If my candidate is "winning, winning, winning" I'm less likely to think they are counting on me to cast my one solitary vote. Telling everyone Biden is going to win however, if they know better, does set up the environment for anger, division and not accepting the election. Media makes a lot of money when people start screaming, setting things on fire, and keep the population every day for four entire years. Unity is not profitable.

Pollsters don't stay pollsters long by posting rosy outlooks that aren't true. Well maybe Rasmussen.

Rasmussen was the most accurate 2016 pollster. Just because their company ownership is conservative-biased doesn't mean their data is inaccurate.

Despite what you have "read", Biden does, NOT need a 5% Pop. Vote Win to Win the EC.

A 51-48 Biden Pop. Vote would be enough to take the EC.

Although, at this point, it seems hard to imagine Trump getting as high as 48% in the Pop. Vote.

Probably looking at a best case scenario for Trump Losing to Biden 52 to 47.

But, in reality, Biden does NOT need to beat Trump by 5 pts. to Win the EC.

    Unbelievable.

They're even holding up MAGA and KAG signs, and one lady is wearing a red Trump hat while another is wearing an "I  Trump" hat. Is there no accountability with the media anymore??

You just can't make this stuff up. His handlers are clearly not giving him the correct medication. Who could have possibly thought that would work out for him? Its really hard to watch, I am embarrassed for him.

You missed your calling if you aren't picking stocks :)

Of course predicting ole Joe to act senile has a better then 85% chance of being a winner.
