    The lame duck period starts the first Wednesday, following the first Monday in November of a presidential election year, if the sitting president was not re-elected. It does not start in February, but nice try.

    Mitch McConnell is a POS who has no regard for anyone other than himself and possibly his self-serving corrupt parasite of a wife. The turtle is another sociopath who infiltrated government in a position of power where in reality, he has no moral or ethical right to be. It is not surprising that so much hatred and disgust is directed towards him...he has more than earned it.

    He's at the end of one term and therefore able to allow for public opinion in his choice by not making it until after the election. If PO is still in his favor he will win and no harm is done. If he doesn't win then the public won't have to suffer through yet another choice by a President nobody wanted for the next several years. The Presidential thing for Trump to do is wait to 50 odd days to see what happens. Rotsa Ruck on that.

    McConnell has already said he will confirm Trump's decision and his reason is blatantly partisan hypocrisy, with him actually saying so.

    How anyone can say they believe in political ethics, honesty, and even basic human decency while still voting for ANY Republican this year is beyond me.

    And the feckless establishment Dems will roll over and take it. That is just one of the many reasons that they need to be voted out as well. We have no actual opposition party.

    Now, now, it was an entire hour....almost.

    It took him that long to get up the courage to violate an old woman's dying wish. Lightning hasn't struck him yet so I guess God is resting.

    Or maybe the Deity decided to put his energy into preparing Mitch's place in Hell, since nothing he could do would change a Republican's mind concerning doing the bidding of his Master anyway.

    What a disgusting attitude. I don't like McConnell, either, but it's up to the residents of Kentucky to get him out. Actively cheering for the murder of ANYONE is about as anti-American as you can get.

    It was Harry Reid and the Senate Democrats who ended the 60 vote SC filibuster rule back in 2013, down to a simple majority. So now you get to reap what you sow, and I'll enjoy every minute of it.

    Obama was at the end of two terms, a lame duck and had an opposition Senate. Trump is not a lame duck and has a loyal Senate and were it Biden who was President he would be doing the presidential thing and sending a nominee. The Democrats can pound sand, they like to play political hardball, well here's a tasted of it.
