Ok but can science explain why everybody so far knows it is better to poof than drown, I think as as we understand the evolution of our cognitive and emotional structures better we may get the answer.

As has previously been mentioned, drowning is a terrifying death while merely ceasing to exist in a supernatural poof is humane.
Both are monstrous but one is less monstrous than the other.
That is logic and therefore scientific.

If I were the cruel and vengeful god of the Old Testament and wanted to get rid of all the wicked and set an example for Noah and family along with future generations I would definitely drown them. Poofing is too easy.

I really don't see the point of your response. If you believe, you do so. Otherwise, you wouldn't actually believe, do you agree? I would also point out that the more you "challenge" belief the tendency is that it creates conformance bias which only further imbeds belief. We see it all the time.

He had to drown them to make sure the survivors feared him, and he needed to make a show of it to make sure the story was remembered. Or... He could have inspired a scribe to make the story up a century later and achieve the same. Or a king wanting obedience could have done so, telling his people that whatever he wants is what God wants and if they defy him... There was this guy named Noah and he built a floating zoo because.....

Belief is that which you accept to be true usually without evidence, its best to have as few beliefs as possible and challenge them all the time.

There have been no poofs other than cosmic ray bursts, or supposed planetary destructions by galactic enforcers (aliens). The former are so drastic as to target more than a single planet. Mass coronal ejections from our sun might also loosely qualify.

Mass drownings have occurred because of catastrophes or cataclysms involving ice ages, earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanoes, asteroids, comets, etc. (e.g. 9600 BC and 2650 BC). So who was that Noah's Ark advocate and who were those Tower of Babel critics (Elohim)? The chosen race reported from the wrong timeline. The world population bottleneck occurred 70,000 years ago.

But if the business is peddling moral admonitions, sin debts, retributions, merciful forgiveness, and justification for tithes, the store is always open.

Well if you poof mankind out of existence there would be no suffering. If you drown them with downpours of rain, there would be psychological trauma, suffering and destruction of civilization as well as major impact to the environment. The condemned people will see their lives and the lives of their neighbors and loved ones end. They will watch slowly as their cities and homes collapse and crumble. Either way pretty much everyone is dead but with drowning the only one to witness the suffering and survive would be God so if it brings him value then so be it. I guess Noah and his family may see some but I would guess he had a lot of other things that would be taking up his attention.

Actually..... it seems to me like our Creator plans to burn up the horrible nature in us, and our children and grandchildren and great granchildren ......... with greater and greater level of the Ruach ha Kodesh, the Holy Spirit in each of us...... but it will take until about 2185 or so according to what was shown to near death experiencer and former skeptic Howard Storm.

    https://www.near-death.com/religion/christianity/howard-storm.html#a04

Since the Holy Spirit is described as Living Water.... I had to go with drown.

I am very surprised you chose drown Denis, you have always seemed such a gentle soul. To choose to drown children and young babies and all the terrible fear that they would suffer rather than just end their life painlessly strikes me as very out of character.

You didn't quite understand my post......
being drowned by the Holy Spirit means our ego being washed clean of our selfishness and greed
until the world is transformed. The Holy Spirit will be poured out on all flesh.... which will even include a change
    in the nature of animals.....

No one understands your posts........especially you.......who is clearly affected by spirit, but not necessarily the Holy variety.
