Trump's friends are such great people...

This is the kind of fanaticism that you must demonstrate if you wish to one day obtain a presidential pardon.

Roger Stone wants Trump to declare marital law if he loses the election. That way he will be able to arrest a lot of American citizens.

Not at all. It's stupid. And inflammatory. We could stand a little less stupid and inflammatory rhetoric.

Right out of the fascist's playbook.

The GOP is a runaway criminal enterprize.

Our only hope is to win the election, and put all the criminals in jail.

Our history is replete with republican committing fraud and crimes in office:

We need to put all of these republican criminals in jail, including Trump, Barr, DJTjr, etc.

How does Stone's, a well known political hack and clown, comments compare with Gore, a long term Democrat political leader, Senator, and Vice President, who said Trump should be removed from the white house by the military the day after the election?

I will leave that obvious opportunity alone and just say the dems should practice what they preach.

I'm not a Democrat, and I haven't heard anything close to this rhetoric from Biden nor Harris. Biden is calling for unity.

Nobody pays attention to Gore, but his remarks are on a par with Stone. It's not a game though. They should both shut their traps.

You don’t see the difference between using martial law to retain power after losing an election, and using federal government resources to enforce the outcome of an election?

So fat today, aside from the obvious further unhinging of some, are the words "I'm not a democrat". Every time I see that from someone who has yet to say anything positive about the current administration, my depends are put to the test.
We don't need no stinkin' martial law.

The President continues to serve until January 20th, even if he loses the election. You remember that, right? Removing him from office "the day after the election" would be a coup.

Day after election? Is that really what Gore said?

It’s pretty stupid if he did say it - even if he said Jan 21.

Not as stupid as Stone, but still stupid.

Thats ridiculous! Martial law will only be needed if he wins! Last time, people blocked the freeways! Of course, you would never support using our legal system as a political weapon, right?

They are both horrendous and egregious, but not the same. Martial is probably worse, but using federal government to enforce the outcome of an election, like Obama in 2016, is a close second. For the record I was quoting Gore about using the military to get power after winning the election which happens a month and a half before power constitutionally changes hands.

Who is Roger Stone, and, more importantly, why should we care what he thinks?

You left out the main part of what he said.....

he said ".....IF he wont concede the election"

Is a very different statement when you use the actual quote

    Thats NOT what gore said

Due respect Rod, but he said "IF he wont concede the election". Which many people think he may not. He has been sewing the seeds of doubt for the last few months. All the talk about "stealing the election" and "mail in ballots are going to cheat the elections".

Why should Trump be dragged from the oval office the day after the election, if he does not concede?

If Gore really did talk about removing Trump immediately after the election (I still haven't seen a link to him saying it), then it is almost as egregious as Stone's suggestion to impose martial law.

Gore didn't talk about removing Trump immediately after the election, and mentioned the military (and others) simply to illustrate why at the end of the day, it wouldn't matter whether Trump conceded or not.

This was in a Reuters interview.

After describing his experience in 2000, when he conceded the election, the interview continues as follows:

Interviewer: Do you think if President Trump loses in November he will concede in essentially the same spirit as you conceded?

Gore: Well [laughs]... I don’t know. But it’s important to say that it’s really not up to him [laughs]. And I hear people saying, Well, will he accept the decision? Well it doesn’t matter; it’s not up to him because at noon on January 20th, if a new president is elected, and I hope Joe Biden is elected, and if that is the case the police force, the secret service, the military, all of the executive branch officers will respond to the command and direction of the new president. And so it will not matter whether Donald Trump accepts it personally or not.
The above exchange is at the 1:04:12 mark

    Thanks.
He specifically refers to after inauguration rather than the day after the election. And he doesn’t talk about the military removing Trump, just ignoring him.

It’s amazing - but not surprising - how Trump supporters just make stuff up and spread lies around as if it’s all true. Disgusting.

    Gore did NOT say that.

Did you know your statement was false when you posted it, or did you believe the lies from the RW echo chamber?
