    I was very vocal about the debt under Obama — as was virtually all Republicans who are largely silent with close to double the spending today without much difference in economic numbers.
    Your whataboutism is noted however.

    I guess you have nothing to add?

    A handful of defectors is one thing (too many in my opinion), but we're talking dozens. Perhaps many dozens, and that's just the ones who have gone public.

    Oh Pleeeze. All the stimulus did was use everyone's tax dollars to keep government workers unemployment under 6% while the rest of us suffered in the double digits. Guess who was responsible for making sure the money went to public works projects?

    And the Government workers thank you.

    The Stimulus was a big part of getting us out of The Great Recession ...caused by the LAST Republican (disastrous) Administration.

    And Republicans fought that Recovery at every turn in a partisan political effort to hurt Obama

    What does this have to do with trump spending almost double that of Obama and having less to show for it in terms of real GDP growth?

    And before COVID? trump was on track to spend as much as Obama did in his first year (and he was fighting a recession from the last Republican administration) and only achieved close to the same level of growth Obama did.

    So comparing the two with major national events trump has spent twice and is actually doing worse than Obama.

    Why should the recession be counted for Obama that he was not responsible for while a pandemic that was worsened by trump not count for his numbers?

    If you remove the initial negative from Obama and the final negative from trump, Obama did better. The only way you arrive at your consensus is to count one but not the other...

    Thanks for proving my point however.
