What did Ruth Bader Ginsburg ACTUALLY mean in her 'dying wish?'

When I first heard about this, I just assumed that she wanted to wait until after the election because that would present the possibility of having a Biden nominee replace her. However, it seems clear that what she actually wanted was to be replaced by a President other than Trump! So she was actually happy for there to be a vacant seat for FOUR YEARS? Was she NUTS?

Yeah, but the insanity is actually more to do with the dems response to her. It just seems insane that dems would say - if they controlled the Senate under Trump from next year - that the seat should remain vacant for four years purely because of her ridiculous LAUGHABLE dying wish! I know the dems are insane, but they can't be THAT insane surely! :roflol:

Can you imagine the ghouls democrats would look like should they actually produce a video of Ruth, providing her last words, and presenting the video on TV to prove she actually said it? Come to thing about it, that might not be a bad idea....

How about one of those deep fake videos starring Ginsburg's ghost like Jacob Marley visiting Trump in his sleep. "Trump, Trummmp, ooooooo. How it is that I appear before you in a shape that you can see, I may not tell. I have sat invisible beside you many and many a day.” It was not an agreeable idea. Trump shivered, and wiped the perspiration from his brow. “That is no light part of my penance,” pursued the Ghost. “I am here to-night to warn you that you have yet a chance and hope of escaping my fate. A chance and hope of my procuring, Donald. Don't listen to those Democrat devils appoint someone nowwwww ooooooo!!!!"

That's how I saw that. She supposedly said "new president," and Trump would not be 'new.'

I also am not convinced she said anything like that person claims, it's just too politically convenient.

BTW, RBG's fervent wish was that Obama not appoint her successor. She knew she had cancer during Obama's presidency, she should have stepped down, but instead she gambled that Hilary was going to win in 2016. Her gamble failed, she does not get a do-over.

A gamble the entire Democrat blindly and smuggly took and lost and haven't stopped whining about yet. Wait til Trump wins again it's going to be like an air raid siren.

RBG believes in the American people. She obviously didn't believe they would be so... (insert "forbidden" word here)... that they would re-elect Trump.

But if Trump is re-elected, the Supreme Court will likely be irrelevant anyway. So four, eight, sixteen years... makes no difference.

And very-very sick in the end! I doubt she made a lot of sense with all the dope and lethal dosages of useless medicine they were jacking her with.. My guess is someone is grandstanding/lying and using her corpse as a stage prop.. If they could they'd pickle her and drag her around with Brain Bleed and play a recording of her last dying breath..

Her dying wish is irrelevant, as its the Constitution that determines how justices are picked and confirmed. Sad a Supreme Court Justice apparently didn't understand that...

I'm sure in those last days she learned a great deal about the REAL democrats agenda in Washington! My bet is she welcomed death and the freedom from them in the end!

She didn't say anything about Trump...

We do know when she was clear minded and healthy she thought the Biden Rule was wrong, and blasted the Dem party for their underhanded handling of nominees by Republicans, including Trump, to the bench

I just don't get it. Why are democrats so willing to die on the hill of abortion? Do they really just believe in Eugenics so deeply that this is their apocalyptic moment? I mean, why else put abortion clinics so conveniently in the poorest places?

Clearly you don't know the difference in a morphine dosages given to a dying cancer patient and someone just getting high

She most likely didn't even know what day it was, let alone held any sort of coherent conversation with anyone!

Then again can we be sure? Apparently we are of the same mind as those high on drugs to realize what a lousy president Trump is :( Well I'm a little insulted by that myself!

My grandmother's dying wish was that Ruth's vacancy would be filled before the election.

Why are you telling me that and not to the poster I responded to? Of course what that poster said is absolute nonsense at every level. The kind of nonsense that only deserves to be answered if I can think of a way to make fun of it. I did my job. If you want to transmit information, make it available to the appropriate poster.

Well... yeah. The Supreme Court makes a ruling... Trump doesn't comply with it... so what? You think Barr is going to arrest him or even investigate him? And Republicans have already established that their President is above the law. They sold out their country in exchange for getting re-elected.

    Depressing but true.

As it should be. Trump's presidency is embarrassing to us all. It makes the whole country look as if we were all high on drugs. The only difference is that Trump supporters haven't realized it yet.

Oh... BTW... Only "a little"? That means I still have work to do.
