Ruh Roh, looks like the dems are losing ground. Why?

Did they realize what an awful candidate they have?

Perhaps dems cannot find enough dead people and illegal aliens to register?

Are the Republicans just sick of the dems and their nonsense?

    Inquiring minds want to know!

    What do you think?

In 2016, Democrats had a 327,000 voter-registration edge over Republicans, when Trump won the state by a little more than a point. Now the GOP has reduced that Democratic advantage by 44 percent.Recent polls show Florida is essentially tied between Biden and Trump.

Dems still lead, and lost in 2016 even with the lead. Wonder how many of these new republicans will get the rona and die before the election thanks to the sign ups

"Tyson's data analytics team found that 119,000 more Democratic voters have switched their registration to Republican or independent than Republicans Party switchers since 2016."

    +1

Dems are sick of their own party. All the dems had to do to beat Trump is not be crazy. Looks like they are failing.

Apparently AOC doesn't play in FL, especially among exiles from Communist countries with first hand experience.

Perhaps some people have been looking at the unemployment numbers and drawing conclusions. Straight from the government's own website:

States with worst unemployment: Rate Rank
    upload_2020-9-24_17-29-27.png

    States with best unemployment:
    upload_2020-9-24_17-31-2.png

Um.... I wonder who served their constituents better during the Covid crisis, Democrats or Republicans. This is a tough one......

You know, I've wondered about something like this happening. I have a handful of kooky far left friends on Facebook, and I've watched as they share posts and links about registering to vote, and I know they're hoping to appeal to others who will vote their way, but each time I think to myself not all of their friends are lefties, and there's nothing to stop their moderate and right-leaning friends from using the same information to register to vote against them. I guess this is the hubris of the left that they think if they push people hard enough to vote they'll vote Democrat.

I've had similar thoughts when the same lefty kook Facebook friends share contact information for some politician they're mad at, because they want everyone to flood them with complaints, and I sit back and think, hey thanks, maybe I'll go ahead and send off a quick email of support and thanks to politican so-and-so now that you've given me the email address. LOL!

I see the polls, and I see the mainstream media attitudes and coverage, and it can scare the sh*t out of you that the whole world's gone crazy. Then I look at my real life friends (and even my Facebook friends, of whom only a tiny percentage are batsh*t crazy lefties) and it gives me hope that the good guys still exist and maybe there is something to the whole "silent majority" thing, and I pray and pray and pray Trump wins in November.

Well, I guess, with mail-in voting getting all the news coverage, the people who sat around at home and didn't vote for all these years turned out to be Republicans.

Could be snowbirds deciding their second home will be their first. Could be hispanics et als glad he is targeting MS13. Could be people revolting against masks mandates in the heat. Could be kpop fans registering as republicans using TikTok for the LOL's. Who knows. I personally think the race will come down to Michigan and Pennsylvania. I haven't seen Florida as a likely pick up for the dems. If I had to place a bet on it, my money would be Trump being re-elected with an EC count closer to the 270's.

I'm not sure what the highlighting in those tables is supposed to represent, but permit me to point out:

    1) In the top table with the worst unemployment, the governors of Pennsylvania, New Mexico, Hawaii and Nevada are all Democrats. Therefore, according to the data presented, the 10 states with the worst unemployment rates are all run by Democrats.

    2) In the bottom table with the least unemployment, the governors of Vermont and Arizona are both Republicans. In other words, the 12 states with the best unemployment rates are all run by Republicans.

    Hardly surprising...

Obviously Republicans are ticked off at the Dem Party's scum bucket political tactics and have decided to vote in November even if they have to belly crawl over broken glass to do so.

But also don't forget true Political Independent voters. I think that once again the Dem Party's leadership AND their blatantly leftist-loyal media outlets forgot to factor in true political Independents -- as opposed to people who call themselves independent and then automatically vote for the Dem Party anyway -- and TPI types are going to be looking at not only Joe Biden's blatant feeble-mindedness but at the undeniable fact that the reason that ANIMALS across this nation have been able to get away with endlessly rioting, looting, tossing Molotov Cocktails, and mugging and murdering is because Dem Party politicians have made it possible for them to do that for month after month.

Social media is both a weak barometer and an extremely unreliable place to go for information. Talk radio and trashy right wing blogs are almost as bad.

The fact that you drew a distinction between your “real friends” (the Trumpsters, apparantly), and the others, declares you confirmation bias.

That "distinction" is yours alone, and as imaginary as Russian collusion. I don't determine my friends based on politics, hence having some pretty kooky far left friends in my circle, but they have other qualities which make up for their poor political choices.

Fair enough. I misinterpreted your post.

I do the same thing. I have a lot of Trumpsters on my FB feed as well. They post the same trashy blog, talk radio, Russian nonsense that gets posted here. (which is how I keep up with the right wing noise industry and study its tactics). But, as you say, they have other qualities!

I think this says more about the Trump campaign’s concerns about holding Florida.

It wasn’t until earlier this year that anyone even considered Florida to be in play.

    Well said.

To confirm the point you made in early in your post, I almost didn't vote in the 2016 general election. I didn't support Trump in the GOP primaries (I supported Rand Paul) and I didn't think he could beat Clinton. In my mind, there was no point in getting out and voting, but my wise and wonderful wife told me to stop and consider the alternative and the consequences so I reluctantly got my ass off the couch and voted, even though I thought it was a waste of time.

That's not the case this year - in fact, I'm going out to vote TODAY, and if I have to belly crawl across broken glass I will be GLAD to do so.

Indeed. I think that 2020 has clarified what's really at stake for voters; and NOT in the way that the increasingly insane DNC and their media wonks . . . intended.

FL was always in play, and was a very close outcome last time.
