    These awards shows have become about social justice attention whoring and grandstanding anyhow. Now we have the Oscars with their idiotic diversity requirements :roll: You really can't take these awards shows seriously anyhow, and now the political crap sucks the entertainment value out of them too.

    Oh well, they did it to themselves.

    I never watched celebrity award ceremonies. Watching multi millionaires pretend to care about commoners just for attention...it's stupid. The only award ceremonies I watch on TV are Medal of Honor recipients.

    I too am tired of Hollywood types lecturing about politics. Jon Voight, Scott Baio, Paul O'neil, and Clint Eastwood to name a few. What do they know?

    My neighbor's kid who walks my dog (he's like 17 or 18 ) said that it was the most pathetic thing he's watched. Kids don't want to hear about a celebrities feelings about an issue kids don't understand (or are being lied to about)...they want to watch excitement and positive energy. Crying and playing the victim card bores kids. Hence the poor ratings.

    I have a major problem with Hollywood when they go out and put their opinion out there like its gold. What makes your opinion more valuable then mine. With out the everyday common folk, Hollywood celebs woudl be a no body.

    Seems like all celebrity awards ceremonies have one theme: "WAAHHHH!!". Just from what my wife tells me about them. My wife is liberal and even she hates watching them. She says constantly "My god, they can't go 5 minutes without mentioning Trump".

    It's sad that people these days care more about the opinions of a musical artist than someone who just deployed to fight for their freedom and safety.

    The first time we came home from Afghanistan we got a nice round of applause at the Atlanta airport from civilians.

    Last deployment, we arrived to protesters outside of the airfield (about a mile from the armory) protesting the military and our arrival.

    Made me think...why did I go out there if they don't want us to? Why should my men sacrifice their lives if the people they are fighting for idolize Beyonce over people that just want to keep them safe?

    It's a sad world the left lives in.

    I participated in several demonstrations against the "anti-war" protesters during the 2000s and they're pretty much the same Marxist and Anarcho-Marxist riff-raff you see rioting across the country today. They're America-hating Nihilists who have been attacking the pillars of our society - the military, the police, free-market capitalism, the Constitution, individual freedom, etc. - for years. They're not the ordinary, mainstream Americans their comrades in the media portray them to be.

    it's not just award show that are taking a hit, it's also sports. Any time people take a public position on a controversial issue they're going to lose popularity with the folks who disagree with them. This is why smart people ****.
