What is needed is farmers to get workers to fields, and Trump is making it difficult.
I just don't see them as the big boogeyman that right wingers do.

You voted for Trump, right? He's treating them like subhumans.

Not a cheap shot at all.

Following immigration laws makes one be treated as subhuman?

You thinking i treat people as subhuman is not a cheap shot? WTF? Stop projecting.

No, it's calling them what the are, here illegally. Treating people as subhuman is what the LW does to unborn babies.

Since the Census is almost over, it really is a pointless ruling.

Illegal immigrants are not recognized as legal residents by the government at the state level or the federal level. The state assumes every person within its boundaries is residing there and is required to pay that states income tax yearly.

It is a pointless ruling since it is now a done deal, but its effect is not pointless. Illegal aliens are now part of the determination of how many representatives a state has. This isn't what the Constitution had in mind when it directed the census to include residents. There was no such thing as illegal aliens when the Constitution was written.

I personally think they should not be included in the apportionment since the house members do not represent non-citizens, but that they should have been counted and identified so we can get reliable numbers on how many freaking illegals there really are. Estimates vary wildly. Blue cities want the opposite because it is all tethered to how much money they can get from Uncle Sam. My city has been identified as underreporting so they are out pounding on doors, sending mailers, etc, to try to get the numbers and check digits up.

Politics. It makes no sense to me that you want illegal aliens to be represented in congress. That means it is politics devoid of common sense.

Yeah, but a judge says you can't count citizen versus non-citizen, so there is no way the census will give a count of illegals.

The citizenship question was already tossed before they ever started. I was just saying what I think they should do. Unlike some people, I am not afraid of real data nor am I motivated by access to federal money. I like reliable information. What people do with it is up to them.
