For those who have been saying that Trump's becoming president has resulted in his losing money, note that Trump's fortune have been in decline for a long time, and during the prior decade (before 2010) the ONLY thing keeping Trump family from going under was his show, the Apprentice, and since the show ended, his fortunes continued decline. Trump used his profits from The apprentice to invest in money losing golf courses.

In short, Trump makes money as an entertainer, but is a lousy businessman. But, methinks Trump no longer is entertaining, he's a downright boorish bore, and people are sick of him and his bullshit chaos and insanity, incessant lying, and all around buffoonery.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2020/10/11/...issed-questions-about-influence-peddling.html

Eric Trump conceded that his father ‘lost a fortune,’ but dismissed questions about influence-peddling.

In contrast to the president’s contention that he was a Washington outsider who would “drain the swamp” when he took office, The Times investigation revealed that Mr. Trump not only did not disentangle himself from his business empire, but that a pay-to-play culture had permeated his presidency.

Mr. Trump turned his own resorts into the Beltway’s new back rooms, with companies and other special-interest groups spending millions booking conferences and rooms at his hotel in Washington and other properties, and on membership fees at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida. They have been able to parlay their access to the president into federal funding, contracts, regulatory changes and ambassadorships.
    [...]
The Times’s investigation found that President Trump’s finances had been in steep decline for several years before he entered the White House. The pace of massive profits that flowed his way thanks to “The Apprentice” — a total of $427.4 million from the show, endorsements, and licensing deals — had fallen sharply and consistently after 2011.
The reporting was part of an ongoing examination of Mr. Trump’s finances by The Times, which revealed that he had used much of his reality television fortune to buy and prop-up a collection of money-losing golf courses that required regular infusions of cash. But when the money from entertainment fell, he sold off more than $200 million in stocks and bonds, leaving him with comparatively little, and burned through much of the cash on hand in his businesses.

No matter what happens to Trump in the near future, he’ll always have a home at Fox News.

Given that his first political appointment was president and he presided over the strongest economy in nearly 70 years (outside of the internet’s invention) and the ONLY way he can lose is the other side shutting down the economy for 8 months.

I’d say pretty damn good. Oh and btw, you’re going to be highly disappointed after the election lol

yep he made a fortune on his highly popular show....for years..quite the entertainer.

and yes the president and his family have scarficed a great deal in service to our country. While Biden, Obama and the clinton’s got rich off their offices the president and his fsmily see it as service to a greater cause

No what Obama did was a “fluffy”. He created a bunch of part-time temporary jobs and claimed to have a recovering economy. Trump actually created real permanent full time jobs. Know the difference.

Yes genuine growth, main street growth. Income disparity shrunk, employment hit a high with the poorest communities seeing their lowest unemployment rates in the history of the data.

Regulations streamlined, business growing, income rising within the middle and lower classes, the middle class grew.

    Eh, facts..... so cumbersome.

I’ll bet you still believe that story about how Trump borrowed a million and made a billion!

It’s nice when you inherit someone else’s successful economic policy, and the only thing you really do is make things easier for the oil and coal industries and get Congress to borrow against anticipated future prosperity and give the money to Wall Street.

And, when the crisis comes, refuse to lead or accept responsibility and watch it all fall apart.

I was showing you the difference between policy that is BS, like Obama’s economy, as opposed to a real recovery.

You didn’t show anyone anything. The facts don’t support you claim. The economic trends did not significantly change, following essentially the curves it had followed since 2010.

Plenty of people have pointed this out.

But in right wing talk radio world, the no nothings actually believe that the economy completely transformed the minute their man, or the other guy walked in the door. This is high school understanding. But it’s Trumpsterism.

Wrong. The trends in part-time/temporary/contract jobs created as opposed to full time permanent jobs is statistically significant.

It's a big topic and I'm not going to go into it here. All I can think to say is it a lot of people don't seem to have been satisfied. and I've said it somewhere else but there's a whole lot about the stuff outside the economy that needs to be working as well.

Also, in our economic terms it had a caffeinated feel to it, just like prior to 2007.

But it can't be denied, many have gained a lot under Trump.

[Eric Trump] "denounced the news media, listed what he said were accomplishments of his father’s administration, insinuated financial impropriety by Joseph R. Biden Jr. and said his father had “lost a fortune” as a result of being president."

"“The last thing I can tell you Donald Trump needs in the world is this job,” the younger Mr. Trump said. “He wakes up in the morning, and he has to fight you and he has to fight the entire media and he has to fight the Democrats, and he gets punched in the head every single day. And he wakes up and he fights for this country, and he fights against the lunacy of the radical left.”"

Well, Eric Trump is right. Donald Trump didn't/doesn't need this job, we need him, and in spite of all the petty stupid bullsh*t the left has thrown at President Trump, he's done a damn good job. Much better than I ever hoped for when I hesitantly voted for him in 2016.

Trump is going to go down as one of the most corrupt !!! Something Republicans should be proud of :)

    https://www.yahoo.com/gma/eric-trump-claims-family-lost-134930981.html
The comments come a day after a New York Times story reported that President Trump "transplanted favor-seeking in Washington to his family's hotels and resorts -- and earned millions as a gatekeeper to his own administration." The article, citing the president's tax records, reports that of the hundreds of individuals and entities seeking favor, "60 customers with interests at stake before the Trump administration brought his family business nearly $12 million during the first two years of his presidency."

    You cannot be serious ?

It has been widely reported that trump has taken in Millions from his campaigns and diverted it to his business'. We know for a FACT that when he is at his golf courses, he is reaping millions from each visit. It was leaked that he charged the Secret Service $35,000 for "2 days a golf cart rentals".

Your claim that a man who has spent his entire life spending other peoples money to promote himself, and who was known for years in NYC to have shady business dealing, has now found some higher calling now that he gets to use taxpayer dollars ?

Riiiight but people with a functioning brain will attribute that to COVID and their governors locking down their states.
