Perhaps more than any other element, Operation Covid has strongly demonstrated the abject failure of the US two party system, our entire political system.

We've been lucky in Florida with De Santis. I did not vote for him, but his handling of this fiasco has been well done.

The government and politicians cannot protect citizens from anything at all. Only fools pretend otherwise.

 

Indeed, DeSantis has been wonderful down there. I, in a general sense, applaud what he has been doing with regard to covid. Too bad our Republicans up here are spineless (all talk, no action)...

Out of 340 million? How many traffic deaths do we have per day? Nationally I mean? How many drug overdoses? Now I ain't grinning about any of it, that was someone else but I'm not crapping my pants either. Life happens.

Well you see this started over someone from Fla. saying their Gov. had done a good job and you came back with several thousand infections and 1000 deaths per day was not a positive situation. Then I asked you if the whole State was in intensive care and you decided the numbers were national tally. There is the possibility that the first poster has a right to be proud of their
Governor and State. Fla. could be 0 since you didn't touch on that demographic. Now I'm gonna cause millions of deaths and I should be frightened by that prospect. I would be if it was true but I think it's horse apples.

Are you saying that a significant number of people that firmly believe that kids can't be contagious?

I find that odd, but then again there are quite a few flat earthers as well, so nothing should surprise me.
