Was it a pro-forma question for Sotomayor or Kagan?

No, they don't "need" to be on the record. You, and Hirono may want it there, but there's a difference.

Let's be real here guys. We all know why she asked that question, and not say, a question about MS13, to use Ditkas example. She asked it in hopes of moving/keeping woman votes to Biden. She knows the narrative of sexual impropriety built against Trump (admittedly brought about by himself in large part), so she decided to use this televised opportunity to remind folks of this narrative.

So it's actually worse than a lack of decorum. Instead of using her time appropriately and vetting the appointee, she FAILS to do her job as a US Senator, and chooses to use her time for politics.

No one is accusing anyone of anything. Likewise, Sen Hirono has only been in the Senate since 2013.

I see nothing wrong with the question and I don't think the judge found it embarrassing either way.

The question implies that she COULD BE and had no place in that public forum, Hirono is an embarassment. And you don't know what went through her head when she was asked that question.

What's wrong with her children being there? It's good to for all children to see assh#$ like Hirono and all the Demonicrats so they know how evil and bad they are. So, in the future, they won't vote for Demonicrats.

Sen Hirono should be censored by the US Senate....she brought a lot of shame to that Chamber with this line of questioning

Perhaps they will find a Biden supporter student who went to high school with her who will testify that Barrett looked at her in the shower.

Senator Feinstein sure thought it was wonderful and enjoys when families are brought to such events but now I guess they are all rated MA-adults only and we should shield our children from them.

She's a big girl who wants to make gay marriage illegal. She can take a matter of fact question.

More pointedly, did the "reputable" media even bother to check if they ALSO had been asked that?

This was an interrogation and feigned accusation. And quote her saying she wants to make gay marriage illegal. She wants marriage laws to be constitutional, don't you?

If Democrats are ever really interested in finding out why so many American Middle-Class Conservatives loathe, detest, and utterly despise today's radical-Democrat Party, they should do an in-depth analysis of their own creatures, like Hirono.

There are a few very engaging, interesting, and credible Democrat politicians, but a THING like Hirono is not (NOT) one of them!

It may be best if I just leave it at that.... :furious:

To be fair, at least she's an equal opportunity bitch. I hadn't expected her to run the same angle as on Kavanaugh.

There are a lot of horrific crimes out there, maybe we could just ask if you've ever broken the law?

    Asking if you're a:

    Rapist
    Thief
    Assaulter
    Child sex offender
    Scammer
    Mass shooter
    Kidnapper
    Etc

    Could get tiring pretty quick.

It also brings up an interesting question about recidivism - how are ex-cons supposed to integrate back into society if we memory hole them at every job application?

how she personal feels about gay marriage isn’t relevant. Where she thinks it violates or banning it violates the law is. Have you read any opinion of hers suggesting how she feels?

Says who, CNN? Obama and Hillary thought gay marriage should be illegal as late as 2010. Obama was PRESIDENT and openly said gay people should NOT be married. Just because someone doesn’t agree with gay marriage from a religious perspective it doesn’t mean they want to take that right away. She said it numerous times over and over again. Her personal views will NOT effect decision making. It’s the law and law only. She’s not an activist judge. ONLY Democrats want to use the court to change the country. They openly admit it. She stated quite clearly she’s the complete opposite.

That's a deep philosophical question, with many implications. While it's naturally true that we don't want to run risks(ourselves in general, and especially, especially business owners don't want a black eye.) But at the same time, ex-cons who truly don't want to return to the system will give their best efforts(and we as a society should find ways to be more accepting and rehabilitating their images.)

Right now, a big part of the problem is that when an ex-con leaves prison, he/she has no support system and not really a stream of income(we're not talking thousands, hell we're not even talking hundreds. They get paid literally pennies on the dollars while 'working'(more like legal slavery, another moral grey area to tackle.) and because of that, turning back to crime is the most lucrative.

Ironically enough, we might be enticing crime by making it harder to integrate back into society.
