    Even if this personal opinion is true it doesn't change the fact that the "dominate caste" isn't going to just vanish into thin air. We'll likely never see a nation to where 2/3rds of any particular demographic has enough power to vote their ideology in at every single level from federal to local government. There just simply aren't enough people in any particular sub-group to do that regardless of what the ideology is. In order to do that you'd have to either have a legitimate 2/3rds of the population of a particular party in every corner of America or try gerrymandering but there aren't enough raw bodies in America for any specific demographic to gerrymander everywhere. A few places sure, but they would be spread too thin to effect the entire country.

    NYC did very well from 2001 through 2013. We were doing just fine up until Covid hit.

    And this is completely on Republicans. They're the ones who surrendered to the Orange Dotard and handed him everything he's wanted. It is a national disgrace what has become of the GOP, but I never wanted to see them change into the opposite of what they always claimed to stand for. They've forgotten their principles of honesty, patriotism, and being defenders of morality. They've abdicated it all for the false tales Trump spins.

    If the Dems are smart (doubtful), they'll go to great lengths to ensure voting protections for everyone and end gerrymandering. The country would greatly benefit from a level election playingfield across the board.

    Democrats already enjoy a super majority in California and the results are an example of what to expect. High taxes, high poverty, poor schools, crumbling infrastructure, and no second amendment rights.

    I live in NYC.

    its still a mostly safe city in most areas.

    everything was fine before Covid.

    there was no serious increase in crime or poverty before Covid.

    You would think that any American would support ending the gerrymandering, but it is the GOP that KNOWS they would lose without it. Republicans are the minority and have been throughout most of my life. If the Democrats do wind up eliminating the gerrymandering, Republicans will be extinct as a party, but just like rats on a sinking ship, they will find a way to spread their fear and hate.

    Certainly if Republicans didn't change their base-focused tactics they would be on the verge of extinction without gerrymandering. I would hope that they would see the error of their ways, but who knows. The other thing I didn't mention, because there's no way in hell it would happen, is a campaign to implement ranked choice voting nation wide. That would endanger both parties, though, so neither side will ever try to do it.

    I am sure there are a few remote areas that are still some what safe...but as I highlighted the city has become a cesspool since Mayor D Blow IT took over... folks are fleeing the city in droves....hence why the Gov of the State is begging people to come back
