Trump has been crying "fake news" every single time news was published about him that he deemed bad news. Somehow, he has been immune to a lot of scandals that would have brought down any other president, as well as the fallout from his own unpresidential twitter habit. That earned him the nickname Teflon Don. However, the constant cry of fake news has undermined people's trust in the media.

Now, the Trump camp has released news about supposed Hunter Biden corruption. What is people's response? It seems nobody is believing the Hunter Biden story, because they have been desensitized by the constant fake news cries. Why would they believe RW bad news about Biden, when they have been indoctrinated for four years that pretty much all news is fake? He may find out the it is not only him that is impervious to bad news.

Why would anyone care since the left didn't remove BJ Bill Clinton?

the difference is that the president said the russian hoax was fake news, the left wing propaganda machines ran with any and all leaks or innuendo....and it all turned out to be fake there was no conspiracy.

here we have actual verified emails and the same media is censoring it and ignoring it. Don’t you at least support an investigation?

I think it's simpler than that. People, for the most part, are going to believe what they want to believe irrespective of the evidence before them. We look for information that confirms our beliefs and ignore most of anything that doesn't. It's basic human psychology. Beyond that, we are inundated with news 24/7 from around the world. Eventually, it becomes exhausting. I've only been trying to get engaged and learn more about modern politics this year and I'm already burnt out on the constant bickering and repeat stories. I can't imagine how exhausting it must be for someone that never took a break from politics.

One of the emails has purportedly been verified by an unknown source - thought Trump supporters didn't believe in those?

What we are witnessing is the proverbial crap being thrown at the wall, except nothing is sticking anymore.

At some point next month, the Trump supporters are going to wake up to a bad hangover from 4 years of chugging way too much Kool-Aid.

Ding, ding, ding. While it may be basic human psychology I feel like it’s gotten severe. There are too many people on both who are so entrenched in their beliefs that they won’t entertain hearing any opposing views. It’s not unlike children putting fingers in their ears and stomping their feet. It is embarrassing that people actually get into fights or stop being friends with people over arguing about men who don’t even know these people exist.

You should pray to lucifer that Trump doesn't win. If he does the proverbial **** is going to hit the fan for the left.

No, he's not known. They haven't said who the purported verifier is. So, not only unknown, but not verified as someone who was in the email.

No he's not known - he's unnamed. Let me make it easy for you. Did they publish his name? No.

Hell Twitter, Google, and Facebook are doing everything in their power to keep anyone from reading the story. In fact all they're hearing is idiotic lies from Adam Schiff that it's a Russian disinformation campaign aided and abetted, by the usual unknown and unknowable sources, lies from the usual leftist suspects in the media, and what ever other nonsense they can dredge up to hide the fact the the info on hunters lap top reveals corruption on the part of his entire family which benefitted crooked Joe to the tune of 50% of the take. Compared to Joe it would seem the bill and Hill show are chump change.

They proved Trump right with the Russia HOAX...so even now, if he calls REAL news FAKE news, people are gonna believe its fake. Its like boy who cried wolf now. Maybe the left wing FAKE news should have been less FAKE

Bingo. People can justify anything to themselves that's the one thing we humans are good at. No matter how good or bad or whatever something is if it's something you want to do then you'll justify it to yourself. This is one of the basic tenants of marketing in general which is how companies can keep getting people to buy stuff they don't need. "You deserve it, you work hard, you only live once, etc".

Media and information is no different we see it all day long on this forum alone. It doesn't matter what the story is if it's about the person or party you support then most will find a way to make it "ok". But if it's about the other side, even if its the exact same thing, it'll somehow be bad.

The biggest problem with the public not trusting the media is the fact that we are running out of places to go to figure out what is actually true. No matter what the story of the day is the article or the newscast is going to have the opinion of whoever wrote it intertwined within the story written. Gone are the days of just raw news and letting folks hear information and decide how to feel about it. Now every bit of news that comes out comes prepackaged with the opinions of the network posting it and it has become damn near impossible to determine what is factual and what is the opinion or narrative.

It's sad that as Americans we now have to decipher the news we are told to figure out what the actual truth is.
