That would be normal. When we had this (think we did,) in March, our cough lingered for weeks. Trump got access to some very boutique medications, not available to us non POTUS types.

I have a problem with disgusting people. I love immigrants. I love women. I respect both. I have a problem with a d-list porn model who gets an "Einstein" visa because the US government is corrupt and if a person has money or connections, the law is meaningless. She then marries an old, obese, orange menace, she gets her parents green cards via chain migration that Trump complains about (just not his family), and then she is complicit while children seeking asylum are forcibly ripped away from their families and put in cages. Trump says people like Roger Stone "have been treated really badly" while he locks children in cages. Melania, who is in a position to exert influence, does nothing despite being an immigrant herself; an immigrant who only got over here because Donald wanted to make her wife #3. Disgusting. The whole family is disgusting and I hope each finds the justice they deserve once Trump is out of office and cannot interfere. I would like that to happen in 2020, but if we need to wait until 2024, that's ok too.

This is where I take the time to remind you that they were Obama's cages, not Trump's. The DOJ used what it had available to it. Furthermore, there's a real sex and human trafficking issue with these minors that has to be sorted out. If we worked together in a bipartisan way, we could solve it. That task will also be dumped to Biden and he can't say "orange man bad" about it, he was VP for 8 prior years and now would be President.

Fair enough. I just have a question. Trump allegedly didn't heed the warnings or accept "the pandemic playbook" left behind by Obama. Melania undid Michelle's garden. So, why couldn't he just dismantle the cages if he didn't want to keep with that plan? They don't seem to have trouble undoing anything else left by former POTUSes.

The changes to the garden were rather necessary. Tree roots were getting invasive, and there was quite a lot of overhaul needed. All the trees, including Jackie O's, were moved elsewhere on the WH grounds.

I think she coordinated a nice effort at keeping it healthy.

 

I was referring to the vegetable garden. I also believe the Rose Garden probably needed sprucing up. My point was that it's not fair to keep pounding a dead horse about the "cages are Obama's baby" when Trump hasn't taken issue with ignoring or dismantling other things put in place prior to his presidency.

And now we find that over 500 kids will NEVER see their families again because no one bothered to keep records.

I think we likely don't know the entire story. I'm sure there is plenty to blame to place on this administration, but, it's extremely premature and pessimistic to think they will never find each other again. If you recall, some of the immigrant children that got through under Obama's watch, were found in a house and were being used as sex slaves.

This is a very serious issue, with a lot of nuance.

These kids and parents may find each other again. They won't have been sex slaves.

There's good and bad in every administration. I loathe Trump, but he's like every other president in this way. He's not been awful in every category.

 

all it takes is for the families is to contact the authorities and claim their children. No? Not rocket science really.
