Fracking is not a technology that has a future, regardless of whether anyone bans it.

It is very expensive.

And oil is very cheap, and will remain that way for the forseeable future.

Fracking wells have been capped, and many of the companies that jumped in are hanging by the thread of the junk bonds that financed them.

As renewables grow thier market, and ground transport becomes electric, the demand for gasoline fro, oil (the primary market) will first flatten, and then begin to sink.

China only mines 1/6 of the world’s supply. The biggest producers are Australia and Chile.

Or, we could remain dependent on oil. Having sat in gas lines twice, I already know what happens when we depend on imports of low sulphur oil for gasoline. We may be statistically a net oil exporter, but we CANNOT meet our demand for gasoline fro, domestic production. Fracking oil is dirty and often high in sulphur. Making it expensive to refine on top of the already high cost of extracting.

Oh, and lithium ion batteries are 100% recyclable.

A gallon of gasoline is not. (and two thirds of the energy it yields goes straight out the tailpipe).

 

You don't think it might be just a bit more than that? If Trump signed an agreement not to expose the 60 minute interview thinking this is just going to be a conversation style discussion, and they knowingly took advantage to try and cut his legs out from under him, I think he has the right to tell his side of the story.

Biden said no such thing on Thursday night. Nobody is going to “close the fossil fuel industry”.

Fracking will recede, as the collection of wildcatters and speculators weed out, as they have been.

The remaining frackers are capping wells and running the ones they still have full tilt, and losing money on every barrel.

No, I don't think there is anything more to it. He would have seen 60 Minutes before and would have well known that questions are asked. On what basis would he believe that only soft low balls would come his way?

What amazing is that as the oil glut knocked oil prices dropped to affordable prices, our Dear Leader campaigned all the oil producers to get together and shut down their wells to drive oil prices back up enough to help the fracker continue to continue.

Funny how Republicans are happy to see working people die for produce natural Herd Immunity, but oil barons require their own billion-owner "World Order" to keep gas prices high for workers.

So many Trumpers are suckers to support billionaire personal causes and fight against regular Americans.
