Not in the slightest. Trump will win TX by about 7 points.

Not at all. He is still doing rallies there, but has merely shifted resources up to the Midwest States which need them more than FL since FL is a lock for Trump. He will win FL by about 3 points.

I think by "Trump" you mean BIDEN...

Early voting numbers are looking very well for Trump BTW... no matter which State you look at...

I have to agree that Texas is in play, or at least closer than any election in over 40 years. Here's why:

    Younger voters...

I'm hearing on local news that voters under 40 years old are turning out in record numbers. Not that all younger generation voters will go for Biden, but if you total TX primary votes for Socialist Sanders and Progressive Warren, then the progressive voters in Texas outnumbered voters for "moderate" Biden.

    Increased registrations, particularly Hispanic...

Democrats have sunk a lot of big money into Texas, including new voter registration drives. With a target on Hispanics, particularly in the border towns, if Democrat Hispanics turn out in large numbers they could swing the state blue. Usually the Hispanic vote is about 33% Republican here, but turnout is very low compared to the white and black vote. All the border towns voted Bernie Sanders in the primary. Right now, Hispanics have been hit hard by Covid illness and border crossings are limited to suppress spread of the virus. That is preventing a lot of "normal" friends and family from visiting each other (where there is a mix of families of Mexican citizens and Mexican-American citizens). I'm sure Democrat operatives are spreading the word in border towns that conditions are "Trump's fault."

    Gender...

55% of turnout so far are women. Women don't "like" Trump's personality and may be more inclined than men to vote on emotion rather than on policy positions.

Having said all that, I am less nervous about Texas going blue than I was a week ago. Biden's debate comment about banning fracking will certainly get more Republicans out, and may switch from Democrats whose livelihoods depend on oil to "red".

Anyway, there is good reason to watch the Texas vote for the first time in years.

So now Trump is also responsible for the weather and controls whether shuttle buses break down...or you think that the Trump campaign intentionally tampered with the buses to freeze their own supporters? LOL

And speaking of concentration camps, which party is more in favor of destroying peoples' businesses and jobs by locking them in their homes because of a virus which 99% of people survive?

He didn't charter buses for the return trip. So yes it's his fault.

He chartered buses which got stuck in heavy traffic. So he is responsible for traffic flow.

Socialism is when a medical doctor, having spent 20 years educating himself and suffering through it, being paid about the same as the plumber, fresh out of the trade skrul.

Is that what you want for America? :hiding:

They will likely just do this in Portland, l.a., ny, Chicago anyway. In my city it will be business as usual. So in hindsight. I would like to encourage this.

Just go on strike already! I bet 99% of the people that show were already put on a permanent strike by their employers. The few of them that do have a job will be compensated in likes when they inevitably post a selfie of you yelling at some civil servant.

No, definitely not, but do you want an America where only the well to do can afford adequate health care? Is this why all the conservative health care "plans" I've seen work out to being basically "die if you're poor"? And that's not socialism, not even close. Socialism is dead and has been so for decades Only about 2 or 3 nations in the world even try to practice it anymore and they don't succeed really. Conservatives maintain it as a ghost they can use to condemn anything they don't like out of hand. You don't have tax 'cuts' where the poor and middle class get next to nothing while the wealthy get huge windfalls? SOCIALISM! You don't have people working two jobs and still can't afford adequate healthcare for their children? SOCIALISM! You don't have people starving in the streets and old people living under bridges? SOCIALISM!

Well, that's specific. Nothing being used to substitute for "anything I don't like" there. What is the American Dream then? Does it include children dying for lack of adequate health care? or old people eating dog food?

The Trump campaign is just like Trump, so incompetent that they can't even heat their own buses.

Conservatives have only recently outed the fact that what they really want is the revival of their dream where we "cull the herd' and kill off the elderly and the 'weak'. COVID is their instrument of death, hospitals will become the new death camps under a Trump regime

You guys had control of the whole government and did nothing but focus on healthcare. They did nothing about healthcare costs and focused instead on health insurance. Changing who pays the bill does nothing about the actual cost. Actually, the only thing that was done actually increased health care costs (tax on medical equipment). From what I have observed, Trump is the only one that's actually done something to reduce healthcare cost and that was his prescription drug executive order. I'm sure that it will be deemed unconstitutional or something because there are just too many people that don't want that to succeed (including the DNC).

The Democrats had filibuster proof control of our government from January 20, 2009 until the beginning of January 2011. What did they do to solve the problems you speak of? Nearly nothing. Yes, they created a failed partisan health care act that has been under attack since because Obama refused to work with Republicans on this. Had he simply reached across the aisle then, we might not be facing a hate fest that we see today from our elected officials.

We both know what socialism is and we know that too many elected officials, starting with Bernie and AOC, are pushing that agenda forward as hard as they possibly can. They would tax the wealthy at 90% if they could just to give it to people who refuse to work. I am all for helping Americans that struggle get on their feet, but not for handouts that last a lifetime. Socialism is having the citizens dependent on the government and that is where liberals live!

Since you haven't "liked" my post, your ":applause: Nicely done" reeks of sarcasm and patting self on the back. I, at least, am being honest.

At the time you cite the only thing the Republicans stated they were willing to work with anyone on was making Obama a one-term President. Obama tried to "reach across the aisle" and the Republicans did everything but bite his hand off. My criticism of Obama has always been that he was TOO willing to seek Republican help. He could have simply jammed through a single-payer system when he had Congressional majorities and let the rich bitch's toadies marinate in their own bile, when they tried to end real free health care in the next session we would have seen the end of the Republican Party. Lost opportunities

Nobody wants to tax anyone at 94% as the REPUBLICANS did in the 1950s. That was when they were building the Interstates and used to put big signs up saying how many millions each mile cost.

Conservatives nowadays are not for helping anyone get on their feet but are all about keeping people down. They want to be the hereditary nobles lording over the impoverished serfs and that model doesn't allow for anyone not born rich to ever become so.

Like themselves. They tax the wealthy private sector individuals and line their own individual pockets in public sector leadership.

Bernie and AOC know that the only place to be financially comfortable in a Socialist regime is to hold a top position in the authoritarian government.

AOC is already enjoying the spoils of selling Socialist propaganda. How much better off are her poor constituents in the Bronx? She'll keep a Congressional seat warm and spew Socialist Utopian Dreams for the next 60 years, while her staff and interns do all the hard work to make her look good. She's set for life. Socialism is great! Just ask the people making money selling Socialism.

Either way, but next week we'll know who the winner is and we can put aside all of this election foolishness and get on with our lives.
