No biggie, the whole MSM did too when RBG died, acting like she was the first woman on the Court with nary a mention of O'Connor. Wonder why they would omit the actual first woman on the Court? The answer is also the answer to many other questions about propaganda in the U.S. You like being manipulated? I sure don't.

Justice is when leftists get their own way. Threats to our entire existence and the American way of life are when they do not. Even threatening four more years of organized revolts --- sedition plainly told.

It's a shame they have sunk so low they are now attacking young girls in the girl scouts for being proud of women in general that make the it to the highest levels of their profession.

Were offended by the Girls Scouts tweet saluting all the women on the supreme court because it included ACB? That's what the thread is about.

 

Lets not pretend like Right-wingers don't spam groups they feel have betrayed whatever standards those right-wingers feel they should have.

No matter who is doing it, it's moronic. ACB hasn't been part of a single decision yet. If she does end up regressing us on issues like abortion and gay rights, then she'll be due the criticisms.

But right now, that's just speculation. Personally, I feel she probably will, and not just because of her strong religious views but because of the enormous amount of pressure the right is going to put on her to be that swing vote that regresses us. But that too is just speculation.

Either way, going after the Girl Scouts because they supported a woman who achieved something great just makes a mouth breather out of every person that did it.

 

You do understand that it's not the Supreme Court's (i.e., 9 lawyers in robes) job to "progress" us, right? That's for congress and your legislature, though reasonable people disagree on what constitutes progress.

Justice Scalia wrote the opinion protecting the Left's right to burn the American flag. He's a commie? Justice Gorsuch wrote the majority opinion in the cases ruling that businesses cannot discriminate in employment against LGBTQ people. So he's a closeted homosexual? Justice Robert cast a vote to save the Affordable Care Act. So he's a democrat in disguise?

The left goes into hysterics every time a Republican appoints a judge, this without having given the slightest thought to the role of the Supreme Court or the individuality of the particular judges. Justice Ginsburg joined Justice Scalia in numerous pro-law enforcement cases. So she was a fascist or something?

It would be beneficial for the republic if people would stop with the knee jerk reactions to the appointments of "liberal" and "conservative"justices

 

These were all good rulings, although I could care less if people are legally allowed to burn the flag. That's always struck me as a stupid way to protest that does nothing but inflame people.

My worry is specifically the way ACB will rule in abortion and same-sex marriage related cases. Whether we like it or not, the court has been politicized, and the justices who sit on that court, especially the ones nominated in the last couple decades, know it. They tend to rule along those partisan lines. Not always as your examples show, but much more often than not. Now, I don't particularly care about whether a ruling is left or right, I care about whether it's correct, as I judge each issue for it's unique circumstances. As such I have no problem with "pro-law enforcement" cases because I'm not anti-law enforcement. I was okay with the individual mandate being struck down.

What the Far Left is waging is more like a war on humanity. They already drove the Boy Scouts to bankruptcy. We aren't supposed to have "boys" or "girls". Just little genderless robotic clones.
