Will conservatives accept Biden victory

I’ve seen a lot of claims that Biden wouldn’t be a legitimate president if he wins due to unfair advantage given to him by mass media and social media.

I’m curious - how many members here share this sentiment and if they expect some social unrest due to this notion?

My opinion:
I think Biden should not be considered a legitimate president due to all the in-kind contributions to his campaign by tech giants and main stream media.
At the same time, I doubt conservatives will act like Antifa or BLM.
Also, I think, if Biden wins, many foreign nations will rush to limit their populations exposure to American mass media and social media due to the fact that it was demonstrated to the whole world that a handful of CEOs can decide who runs their country (if they could pull it off in the US, pulling it off in other countries that don’t have government censorship would be a piece of cake). Even if the leadership of those countries thinks Trump is a bad president, the manner with which Biden wins would make them feel like progressives cheated. I’ve read an article not long ago from progressive fact checkers that are based in Europe and they were shocked and disgusted by censorship that was imposed by social media on Americans. They will stay quiet before the election to not be canceled or blamed for election interference, but once it’s over, I think we will see a lot of foreign discussions on this subject.

 

Merchants are not boarding up windows because they think Biden will win.

 

I could care less, I live in a red state .

I am going to be pissed though if I have to pay for Obama care again

How dare his supporters show up in CARAVANS --- we are talking scores of vehicles both ashore and afloat! --- and they scare the Biden faithful who obviously will lie on their deathbeds from showing up and not leaving their cars over a guy who can't finish a sentence.

Campaign by robocall. By mailers. By bullhorn like Obama's, to crowds on 50 or less.

And then things went 2020. That's the phrase we pass down to our grandchildren.

There is absolutely no proof in Russian involvement. You demand proof beyond reasonable doubt for the authenticity of the laptop, yet parrot Russian involvement claim, which has less proof to it than the laptop story itself.

 

I demand common sense. That Russia hacked Burisma is proven. The laptop story is disinformation. Common sense tells me it's the Russians.

But go ahead with your blind repairman story. Most can see it for what it is.

 

The CIA, FBI, and DOJ all saying there is no proof of Russian involvement.
If they make such public statements, then who are you to go around and talk about Russian disinformation campaign?
See, the left readily accuses the right of being conspiracy nuts, yet you readily believe in claims that no serious official who actually has access to internal data would be willing to agree with.

How can you demand proof of laptops authenticity, and parrot unsubstantiated claim about its origin in the same sentence? Do you think that makes you look like a reasonable person who can hold meaningful discussions?

Here we go, after four years of Trump fans complaining about the Dem "resistance", not giving Trump a chance, and supposedly Dems saying "not my president", Trump fans claiming Biden is illegitimate even before the election is over. You can't make up the hypocrisy and these double standards.

 

4 years ago mass media and social media didn’t openly side with any candidate. If they did, I would have voted for Trump.
I always go by my conviction. When Bush had “free speech zones” I was against it, and voted against republicans. Now, when I see democrats do this, I vote against them.

I was born in USSR and got to witness a little bit of it with my own eyes before it broke up.
Freedom of speech and expression is of the highest importance to me and I will never side with any political force that suppresses it (social media, cancel culture, Antifa mobs attacking peaceful free speech protests). The civil unrest that we witnessed last summer reminded me history books about how Bolsheviks came to power. Too many parallels for my taste, and considering that they exterminated our entire family branch 100 years ago, I refuse to side with such political force.

I support minimum wage.
I support solving funding advanced education issues.
I support solving our healthcare problems.
I support freedom of speech.
I have never witnessed a single act of racism in my 20 years here, outside of occasions insensitive joke, which all sides are guilty of.
I love the United States.

Those things will never change, and I always follow my convictions (past, present, and future) and only believe things that I can see or verify by myself because I don’t see the point in being a hypocrite and do not like lying to self. A fascist promising me lots of public works, equality of opportunity, jobs, or prosperity won’t get my vote if that fascist suppresses free speech because sooner or later that fascist will get out of control and they will destroy meaningful mechanisms that would take them down.
Several generations in my family saw where this can go. I wish more Americans understood this.

PS, none of my family members were part of the whole Atlantic slavery scheme, and I find witch hunt against white Americans to be disturbing at the very least.

What, having your own tactics used against you now bothers you? Too frickin bad, you set the tone and made the bed, now you can lay in it.

 

If the votes are legit, the pres is legit. Influencing voters doesnt undermine the rlection. Claiming 'big tech stole the election with propaganda' is just as valid as claiming 'russia' did same in 2016- neither is valid imo. If the voters are gonna be so lazy as to just listen to what tech tells them to do, then that is The People's will- to drive democracy off the cliff and start over. So be it.

But we need to make sure the votes are legit first.

Say you bitch at your wife for years because she takes your credit card and buys frivolous stuff at the mall. ********* for years then you take her card and buy a melon baller and a bowling ball waxer and a pocket fisherman. What does that make you? In my mind it makes you a huge hypocrite....

Also what's that saying about turn the other cheek be the bigger man and an eye for an eye leaving the whole world blind..
