The day after Obama won, I got up, and I went to work

I didn't scream at the sky, and I didn't run around starting fires, and smashing the windows out of Starbucks.

If Biden wins, I'll get up the next day, and I'll go to work.

That's the first thing that needs to be corrected.

Thank you for your vote of confidence, :roflol:& the definition. Being PC isn't an issue for me. But you should recognize that authoritarian rulers are far closer to "totalitarian" rule than elected Presidents are. As President, Trump has changed the focus of the Dept of Justice from focusing on serving the law & the Constitution, to serving Trump personally. That's something totalitarian dictators always do when they are in power. Trump has also practically killed many other crucial departments by cutting their funding, failing to hire needed personnel, or simply refusing to allow them to do their jobs. The EPA & CDC are two examples, though they represent only the tip of the iceberg. Trump meant it when he said, "Only I can do it." He's not a team player. He doesn't work well with others. He's a loner, but one totally self-absorbed & self-serving. He never makes decisions for the benefit of the country or anyone in it. He makes decisions based on what best benefits him personally. All his decisions or actions stay true to that fact.

Obamacare was to benefit as many Americans as possible. It wasn't perfect, but it was improvement over what we had before it existed. It allowed about 20 million additional Americans access to healthcare. It made insurance companies cover pre-existing conditions as a legal requirement. It made it possible for parents to keep their children on their healthcare thru age 26, while those children finished college or got good paying jobs. Obamacare did some good things for a lot of people. It didn't cover everyone, & didn't solve all our healthcare problems. Those who passed it knew it wouldn't. They hoped Congress would revisit Obamacare & alter it in ways to broaden its coverage while lowering its costs. Republicans refused to even discuss it. All they wanted to do was kill it, & protect the money-hungry insurance companies. You may see Obamacare as a failure or bad thing. I see it as a benefit for millions of Americans who needed & deserved it. I eventually want Medicare to be broadened to include anyone over 55 years of age, & eventually be expanded to cover every American citizen who wants it. I don't wish to eliminate private insurance companies, but I want some major changes in how they function.

Biden won't win, but if he manage to win by cheating we'll be too busy with a two year investigation into his money laundering... after that I'm sure we'll all hold hands and sing kumbaya with him in jail

I'm 40 years old, I looked into a Bronze (bare minimum coverage) ACA plan last year, my premium would have been 491$ A MONTH and a sky high deductible. That's damn near our monthly rent. It amounts to nothing more than catastrophic coverage, beyond useless.

Yet they all raised their hands to "give" it to illegals for "free" and fine me, an American citizen for not being able to afford useless and costly coverage. I despise Democrat "leaders".

We won't have to worry about it. The sun will have to be shining wherever the server is and where posters buy their electricity. It will take carefully coordinated rolling blackouts to make this work. Do you think we'll be notified before Biden turns off the power?

Best way to start healing would be to complete the investigation of the Russia Hoaxters, then enlist a special investigator and 20 - 30 prosecutors to look into the Biden and Clinton Pay-to-Play operations.

Please explain to me why we should come together and heal after how your party has acted the past 12 years?

Yep, I had the same experience a few years ago, I of course was not "subsidized", family plans (family of 3) cost between $16K and $22K with $7K - $12K deductibles, huge copayments, draconian restrictions, a poor choice of doctors, no out of state coverage....

It might kinda work for those who are subsidized, they get something for nothing. Taxpayers, pick up the tab and the self paid members pay a ton of money for a garbage plan and pick up the tab for those who are subsidized to boot.

I suppose it depends on what you mean by 'heal'... I won't be accepting globalist authoritariansim; collectivization of the economy, openning America up for unlimited immigration, trade deals designed to funnel production to slave labor, victim disarmament, deindustrialization to save the environment... or the people who think I'm hateful/dangerous for opposing any of those.

It seems to me these are precisely the things causing 'us' injury... but maybe you meant something else?

There is a little bit of a chance if Republicans take back their party from Trump. I think the one great impediment is Mitch McConnell.

The same thing the democrats gained and hoped to gain. Obstruction of the other party being able to enact their policies and removal of their president in four years or less.

I hope your post isn't taken down for threatening violence using the word "stab". I used the word "riot" in jest and earned points.

Sure. If you're a millionaire. But, unless Biden reverses them, we'll be paying the millionaire's taxes for years to come.

Do you even understand why there is an individual mandate? It's to pay hospitals and doctors when they treat people who are uninsured. Without the mandate, it's taxpayers who get the bill. So now you get to pay twice. Your own healthcare insurance, and the healthcare insurance of those who refuse to buy their own.

What nonsense! That's not an "accomplishment". Appointing judges and justices is part of the job description.

You have proven my point. The only accomplishments Trump has had during his presidency have been those that benefit the rich. Like himself (if he really is rich)

As I said, only if Republicans use it to stop all legislation, like they did during the Obama administration. Schumer knows this, and I don't think he'll fall for the same shenanigans that they pulled against Obama and Harry Reed.

It will be up to Republicans. If they insist on using the Hastert rule, they would leave Democrats no option.

    Agree 100%.

Most Conservatives and Independents are afraid to voice their opinions.

Many people in Universities are walking on eggshells.
