Pro-choice, against privatized prisons, against disparities in laws that disproportionately affect the poor and minorities (e.g. crack vs cocaine guidelines), pro increased educational funding, pro doing something about climate change... Those are the first that come to mind off the top of my head.

Trump is 74. Neither of them are spring chickens.

Not sure you're getting the meaning of "undeniably". Assumptions and aspersions aren't facts and are therefore deniable.

Nope it's the Foxverse that's up to it's eyeballs in conspiratorial, made-up scandals. Biden's just ignoring that and so are the millions of people who are going to vote for him.

Besides which, Trumps not exactly scandal free is he?

I'll hand that over to Stormy for comment.

Maybe not, doesn't mean she won't make an excellent veep though.

The deal is that 45% of the electorate are just incapable of understanding why most of the remainder: Democrat, Republican and Independent alike just want Trump gone. They see him as toxic, corrupt and inept. That's the deal.

Nobody's screwing with the vote. Mail-in voting has been going on for years in both Democrat and Republican bastions and nobody's complained about it until now.

    Wonder why?

    This nonsense you mean?

I know you may dismiss this as Trump hating / liberal fear mongering, but I will try to answer your questions as honestly as I can and give you my thoughts on why I'm ok with a Biden presidency.

Not a Dem, have never voted R or D for POTUS until this election. I don't buy the "sooo shady". I just see Biden as another career politician who probably has his hands in as many cookie jars as the next. Dementia? Maybe. Definitely not as sharp as he once was - happened to Ron Paul and Gary Johnson in their runs. Scandal is a nothingburger only bought by those trapped in the RW echo chamber. Kamala is very distasteful. Right now I have about the same opinion of her as Clinton in 2016 - someone I think will do whatever to get ahead in politics, which is very bad. The D party's support for mail in votes is fine - there's no record of any systematic voter fraud, as evidenced by the commission Trump established not finding any. They're not "screwing with" anything - just trying to find a safe alternative during a pandemic.

It basically boils down to this: business as usual Washington polticians or Trump. The choice is pretty easy - business as usual all the way. Trump having that bully pulpit to turn about 1/3 of the country into assuming there is mass voter fraud in an overt attempt to undermine the confidence in the election results as the sitting POTUS is massively dangerous to this nation. Trump demanding his DOJ announce investigations of his political enemies - people who are out of political office and power right now - is the most alarming authoritarian thing a modern POTUS has ever done. It is exactly what I feared he would do when I read the Ukrainian call transcript and he asked the president of Ukraine to open an investigation into Biden and his son. The fact that so many of his supporters are not bothered by this kind of behavior is the most frightening thing to me in this election cycle.

You say scandals, but I can find no Biden scandal even close to what Trump spouts on a daily basis. Biden would have to basically say the same things - shout rigged election, fake news, activist judges, mass voter fraud, demand that Trump should be arrested, etc. That is literally the only thing that would make them equally toxic IMO.

It is like Varys said - power resides where people believe it to reside. If enough people believe there is mass voter fraud, then it doesn't matter if there was or wasn't, the result will be illegitimate. If enough people believe Trump has the right to just arrest his political opponents, then it won't matter what they're accused of or if they are guilty or not. He will just do it because he can. And if enough people believe Trump has the right to run for a 3rd term, it won't really matter what's written on some paper. He will just do what he can get away with

I worry greatly what he will do tomorrow. I expect if he is ahead in the polls - even by a close margin in at least PA, NC, GA, TX, FL, AZ, he will announce his victory. If he is behind, I am 100% certain he will come out and claim rigged election, and mass voter fraud. Under no circumstances do I believe he will ever concede - no matter what the outcome. It is not what I expect from Biden. If Biden is behind decisively in WI, MN, NC, GA, TX, FL, OH, IO, AZ - I don't think there is any question he'll concede. Under no circumstances do I expect Biden to come out and claim rigged election, mass voter fraud. This is the crux of the problem for me - and it has nothing to do with liberal news media bias. Just what Trump says on a day to day basis.

Anecdotally, my grandmother is stuck in the same RW echo chamber you're in. It has caused some strain in my family. Both she and my grandfather voted Trump in 2016. My grandfather is a brilliant man and has been the most successful businessman in the family by far. He has been embarrassed by Trump. As a lifelong republican, he cannot bring himself to vote for Biden. Thus he has chosen to leave the top line empty this year. It is sometimes difficult to discuss these things as he cannot do so freely with his wife around. She has accused my mother of being brainwashed by the liberal media and just hating Trump any time they have discussed the matter, so my mother has had to learn to hold her tongue. My father has been a republican voter most of his life, but just can't believe where the party has gone these days to defend Trump. I have friend who is a registered democrat who hated Hillary, so for the first time in 2016 left the top of the ticket blank. He has since regretted that decision. I say these things to try and illustrate where I'm coming from - that this is not just from a place of reading a bunch of liberal news bias. It comes also from discussions with friends and family that have come to similar conclusions.

    Sorry for being long winded.

Biden is running against a guy who paid of porn stars for sex, spent over $100 million of taxpayer's money playing golf, screwed up declaring that Covid was contained and nothing to worry about, and oversaw the largest increase in the National Debt in history ... you can pretend Trump has roses growing from his ass, but
he's alienated a lot of voters with his ignorant tweets and antics.

So normally, if Biden were running against someone else, you might have an argument - but Trump's clown show is wearing thin, and many people are
just tired of the whole circus.

Yep, talk is cheap. Rudy, Mac Isaac and the Polish guy. Not exactly bastions of integrity.

Talk is all Trump has. And it's all fake false incorrect and downright lying.

This has nothing to do with my feelings.

This only has to do with how and why the nation will vote.

There aren't enough private prisons left to matter. Got something you like other than murdering babies and something that is all but nonexistent and has been for nearly 20 years?

I mentioned five things. I don't know if I have the patience to have a discussion with someone whose attention span can't make it six words into a post.
