But if Trump can get someone else to pay up front (his usual MO) then he can kick the can down the road.

Then it will be a small price to pay, right? Especially if he gets it back if he wins.
So if he doesn’t pay for it we must conclude no fraud, no cheating.

And yet.......everybody is.........because there really are none.
Not really a very curious thing.
The Republican SOS? Now THAT is a curious thing.
Is it a smart move to file an affidavit with the office that you are accusing of irregularities?
    I "suspect" he's lying.
Is this what Trump meant when he said he would bring back manufacturing?
This election had a lot of things we have never witnessed before.

    :roflol: Good one.

Probably not, but it's not like Trump would know the difference anyway....

Looks like Trump took the cheap way out... as expected..

    No link yet.... breaking news

Trump WIRED 3 million to Wisconsin for a partial recount of a few counties.. not full state....

Sounds like Milwaukee and Dane counties... I nailed it!!

I can't imagine a 2 county recount literally costing 3 million dollars, so I hope the state is padding the bill and taking some of his grift income...

All states should publicize their recount prices and let Trump pick a few more... Indiana added over 36K D votes this election from 2016... That cannot be right...

He IS bringing the economy back, 1 useless recount at a time...

A recount in and of itself will not fix the problem. Although finding any irregularities will improve Trump's chances at finally getting to the core of the problem. The problem is and has always been the verification of mail in votes. That would require an audit. Wisconsin election officials instructed poll workers to break Wisconsin law and fill in witness verification addresses, which completely invalidates the whole reason for having it. There are similar issues across the country, that states violated their own laws with mail in votes. Only the Supreme Court will be able to do anything about it.

That doesn’t break the law, the law doesn’t forbid them from fixing it. In fact theyve been doing this since 2016 with nary a complaint until Trumps coup attempt

The law does forbid them from filling it out. That's the point. You are wrong in your claims.

It isnt his own money. He sent out an email for campaign contributions to fight these votes in each state. And in the ultimate Trump irony, the small print in this solicitation says that any donation under $5000 goes directly to retire his campaign debt.

Even while loosing, the rubes are being taken advantage of by this grifter

    Totally.

Any "Donation" to Trump (at this point) is (literally) setting money on fire.

But those 2 counties where they "curiously" found a little over 5000 FOR TRUMP votes, thats all on the up and up because it's for Trump right ?

Requiring candidates to pay money to verify that the count was accurate. That doesn't seem right.

Didn’t the cons attack Gore for trying to do a recount of just a few selected counties in Florida in 2000?
Let’s see what the hypocrites say now.

    Good point...

I was going to get into researching that later today, but I VAGUELY remember that being one of the reasons Gore lost in the SCOTUS....

I think the problem in Florida was that the selected counties just counted things differently. Not sure how these 2 WI counties do it vs each other or vs the rest of the state..

If nothing else it will inject some money into the Wisconsin economy.

Yes, I was actually surprised to learn this is how it works.
Not very democratic, although I can understand it's a source of income for states.
But perhaps it would be more fair if it wasn't tied to money.

You'd think Trump, almost out of his money, would be the first to complain about this.

But interestingly he has not. Instead he quietly pays.

I think the reason is obvious; if it were easier for both candidates to request a recount it might not per se benefit Trump.
So Trump doesn't want an easier way to recount the votes.
He only wants it for himself.

And fair play can go to hell.
