Fine, don't wear a mask and go to as many super spreader events as you want then.

I've never seen such blatant irony from you, Kal. Very disappointing.

I disagree with the lady from Texas on this one. Government should never subsidize business. I believe money should stay with those who earned it. Everybody needs it.

We subsidize commodity items which are used by everyone rich and poor: food, gasoline, fossil fuels for electricity. Without those subsidies on things we all need and use everyday, those prices increase. That hurts the poor the most.

If Biden actually succeeds in removing oil industry subsidies, you will quickly find out what I'm talking about.

People are starting to make fake Twitter ban messages because of how rampantly Twitter is attempting to squash free speech with those stupid exclamation mark opinion commentaries they've been adding.

Hopefully Republicans can win a presidency which will make Democrats miss President Trump.

On November 21, 2008, President Bush was not gone.

Fortunately, in 2016 Republicans elected the President who made Democrats miss President Bush.

Republicans will win again. That is how the cycle goes. They might have to change a few positions for that to happen though.

Yeah and eventually they will come to look like the moderate arm of the Democratic Party.

That is likely to happen given how left-wing younger people are. In Europe, the democratic party would be considered right wing especially since it failed to completely accept universal healthcare.

Serious question, why is the right so obsessed with pissing off the left? The left enact policies that they believe will benefit all Americans — even if you disagree with those policyholders they really believe they are helping the nation — while the right has become only an opposition party devoid of actual policy or platform.

As a libertarian, I would personally be all right for our federal government to step out of most everything, including farm and oil subsidies and let natural market prices and free trade operate. Subsidies are a tax on the rich. The tens of billions of dollars in farm/oil subsidies come out of the pockets of the wealthy. People at lower income levels who get 100% tax refunds benefit artificially by the lower prices and "oversupply" of food and oil which subsidies offer.

The WTO globalists are certainly against US farm subsidies which have caused our farmers to grow enough wheat/corn/soy to feed the world, as well as cotton for clothing. The World Trade Organization complains that our subsidies (again - funded by wealthy taxpayers) make our exported grains cost less than farmers in poor countries can produce them which puts farmers in those countries out of work and makes their people dependent on the US for inexpensive food. If we removed wheat/corn/soy subsidies, our farmers would produce thousands fewer acres of those products, we would export far less product, and Americans would pay a bit more domestically on grain products. We would still have plenty of grains for ourselves. That would make it worthwhile for farmers in other countries to grow those crops, even though their people would pay more for basic grains and cotton products than they are today.

I've seen estimates that without subsidies, a hamburger would cost $200, milk would cost $6/gal, and clothing prices would double. Gasoline will likely hit over $6/gal during the Biden administration, and electric costs will skyrocket, as he moves oil/gas/coal subsidies to artificially subsidize wind/solar. While I'm fine with removing subsidies, I am certainly opposed to moving/adding subsidies to prop up some preferred industries to meet today's global political agendas, but that is what our government does best: interfere artificially in markets and our lives. Sometimes interference is at least arguably good (stimulating oversupply of basic necessities and creating artificially low prices for the masses), sometimes not so good (reducing supply and causing higher prices on commodities).

I dunno. The new right opposes wars in the Middle East. We have spent 6.4 trillion dollars in the Middle East since 2001. What was the return on investment on that money? What if that money had been plowed into American infrastructure instead? This policy difference between the new right and neoliberal chicken hawks has major consequences for the American people. Trump failed to get out of the Middle East. Biden will expand drastically. The left has become the party of chicken hawks.

The new right recognizes the link between immigration and lowered wages for the working class. It supports reducing immigration to the point that the corporations begin offering higher wages for the working class. The left supports open borders. This harms ALL Americans except for the most privileged and powerful.

As has been witnessed by the past year, the left refuses to protect businesses and citizens in their communities. Every community that had substantial property damage, injuries and death due to political violence were run by Democrats at every level. THAT DOES NOT BENEFIT ALL AMERICANS. Conservatives support law and order and oppose the destruction of private businesses.

As also has been witnessed by the past year, Democrats unfairly shut down small businesses while withholding shut downs against nearly all of the huge corporations. This clearly DOES NOT BENEFIT ALL AMERICANS but it does benefit the most privileged and powerful.

It wasn't an investment we made by way of the Global War Of Terror, it was a redistribution of wealth from the tax payers to the military industrial complex that Ike warned about. It wasn't an investment, it was a plundering of the treasury, just as the CARES Act has been.

I would disagree with your word "fortunately." There was nothing fortunate having Trump as our President for four years. Under Trump every day was turmoil--& mostly for no good reason.
