    Probably because he read the same news reports as the rest of us. I was reading Blinken was one of the top 3 finalists for SOS since late summer..

    Why would Biden want a partisan hack and opportunist like Bolton anywhere near his administration? There's no logic to that supposition.

    LOL... literally, there was nothing "logical" about that set of posts. You went from Blinken good" to realizing that you're supporting someone pretty much in line with Bolton, but you weren't aware of it, and then you suggested that Bolton would have predicted it because you read it just like he did. Laughable comes to mind, but not logical. I understand that they are both "L" words, but... LOL

    One still wonders why Trump hired Bolton.

    But it doesn't matter so much now, since the person whose butt hurts is definitely Donald Trump.

    There's no warmongers among the Democrats.

    It's indeed the Republicans who have engaged the US in all the wars in which the country has participated for 40 years.

    Bolton's and Biden's foreign relations and world view policies fifer way too much. Bolton is a NeoCon Biden is not. I agree with Bolton on foreign world views for the most part. Biden needs to convince me. Still Biden will at least try to restore our relationship with our allies and work on our trade positions.

    When Trump said he wanted to pull the troops out of Syria the MSM and Democrats had a hissy fit. I expect Biden to work with the CIA to get the US back into Syria's civil war by claiming ISIS is reemerging.

    Interesting. And yet Blinken is a neocon. So obviously, they don't differ that much. I honestly don't understand what you mean by restoration of relationships here. If you, by that, mean that NATO is paying their freight, isn't that in the US best interest? I just don't really get what you're asserting here. Are you suddenly an advocate for the TPP? I don't understand your references here.

    The observation is that Blinken is very much a neocon, and is very much beholden to the endless war machine. I thought democrats weren't going down that road anymore? Do you suppose undoing middle east peace and peace with Israel and the nations there will be Biden's goal?

    Blinken certainly seems not a supporter of that peace, or those relationships. I suppose the left need to explain why that's good for them.

    So what? Let's stop dancing to trump's agenda. Set a progressive agenda and dive in to getting it done. The focus will shift to that action at home and in the world. Let the trump cult play catchup if they can, but ignore their whines. Remember the advice about arguing with idiots or wrestling with pigs.
    Anyone still peddling trump's tantrum has totally discredited themself as a serious player, or even a loyal American. It's embarrassing to see how many people trump managed to drag down to his level.

    Funny that nobody seems to think of China as a threat. Recently a naturalized citizen from China was convicted of espionage. He will not spend the rest of his life in prison. He will not lose his citizenship. He will spend 3 years in jail. His crime? He worked at Raytheon and attempted to steal our missile defense technology.... the technology that protects us from nuclear missile attacks. About dozen Chinese we have welcomed into our country have ended up spying on us just in the past few years.



    We are losing a cold war that most Americans don't even know we are in. Remember that the Chinese are actively engaging in genocide of their own people, you are high if you think that they would ever show mercy to us.
