The General Services Administration has informed President-elect Joe Biden that the Trump administration is ready to begin the formal transition process, according to a letter from Administrator Emily Murphy sent Monday afternoon and obtained by CNN.

The letter is the first step the administration has taken to acknowledge President Donald Trump's defeat, more than two weeks after Biden was declared the winner in the election.
Murphy said she had not been pressured by the White House to delay the formal transition and did not make a decision "out of fear or favoritism."

    Great news!

It wasn't too soon, because Emily Murphy was becoming the most swampy creature in the entire Trump administration, which already has a staggering number of them.

I wonder if Trump's White House staff will remove all the 'B' for Biden keys off their computers and laptops? Like when Bill Clinton's staff removed all the 'W' keys off theirs when George W. Bush took over in 2001.

Trump announces on Twitter that the transition is beginning, but also writes that nothing is yet decided for the election results.

We will never have such a psychotic President in this country.

That is funny! Would be nice if he was wheeled out to Pennsylvania Ave and parked in the gutter in a chair on trash day in D.C.

It's over for Trump. Michigan certifying today, and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court tossing his appeal today which opens the door for Pennsylvania to certify in another day or so, makes it effectively over. Sure, I guess, just to embarrass Chief Justice Roberts, Trump will try to take it to the Supreme Court, but I find it extremely unlikely that the SCOTUS will do anything to favor Trump. Probably behind closed doors Chief Roberts has already said "don't count on it, Donald."

Have you all noticed that the letter from the GSA is addressed to "President-Elect Joe Biden"?

I think this is as close as we'll ever get to a concession by Trump. It took 40 losses in court... And now CNN is saying that Trump is souring on Giuliani. Seems like Giuliani kept telling the president what he wanted to hear, that it was possible to reverse the results, in order to qualify for his fee of $20,000 per day that he was requesting...

Little did Giuliani know that Trump is not in the habit of paying the help.

Apparently the president and Melania are already making plans for renovation of their quarters in Mar-a-Lago and the Secret Service is making arrangements to reinforce security there, given that the couple has picked Mar-a-Lago as their permanent home after January 20th.

Trump is "persona non grata" in New York City at this time... Same for Melania, Ivanka, and Jared. So, Mar-a-Lago is the destination.

    It is about Fornicating Time!
My take on this is for the Trumpocity to just go away. I do not care if it is Mar-a-Lago or Yekaterinburg, Russia. Just go away already.

To be fair, no. I just read the letter. She indicated that she ascertained him as "apparent President-Elect" and only addressed him as The Honorable Joseph R. Biden, Jr.

    LOL, well done!
But damn! I thought the Russian technology was better. This android of theirs doesn't function very well. For one thing, they forgot to input sound legal knowledge into it. And the wild eyes... they need work.

Mar-a-Lago has been the "Southern White House" and the "Winter White House" for four years and has been Trump's official primary residence since September 2019, so you can stop already with the anti-Trump nastiness and lies.

Whoa. Calm down, fella. I know it hurts.

It's been said that it needs renovations because it currently isn't meant to be permanently occupied. This was not a JOKE or INNUENDO. It is actually TRUE that it will be renovated to become the PERMANENT home of the former president.
    From the link above:
"Renovations to living quarters expected to be occupied by Trump and first lady Melania Trump are underway, ahead of when they'll be living there full time after the Jan. 20 inauguration, sources familiar with the planning told ABC News. Sources have described the renovations as "updates" to living quarters, in part because the residence has been used only on a temporary basis. The Mar-a-Lago club also had been opened only seasonally, and it remains unclear how a permanent residency by Donald and Melania Trump could change that."
So, you thought I was joking, huh, in a nasty way?

But I understand your pain. You all kept calling Biden demented, senile, sleepy Joe, and he beat your guy. It's gotta hurt.

Funny but so sad that Giuliani went from America's Mayor and Mayor of the World to a Bufoon Freak.

This great news has nothing to do with Trump vacating the WH in January.. your dream is still alive...

Your insinuation that this was a sudden decision based on leftwing extremist New Yorkers hating Trump is the spin which was mean spirited fiction, uncalled for, and misleading.

We already knew they were going to live at Mar-a-Lago, that's been their official primary residence since September 2019.

Maybe try sticking to the facts in the future, without the unnecessary nasty spin ;)

Again, I understand your pain. Specially you, who so many times here made wild claims that Trump would decimate Sleepy Joe.
Given your pain, I'll discount your attitude and won't hold it against you. Have a nice day (if possible; it's probably not going great, now that Michigan has certified, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court thwarted Trump's 40th losing lawsuit, and even the GSA conceded today and opened the door to the transition).

I care a little bit. I'm about 30 miles from Mar-a-Lago. I just hope he's not front page news all the time. We're ready for some calm.

He was so well respected after 911. He's nobody to blame but himself.

For years, any interview was something like, I was the 911 guy, sure, did you know that 911 was on 911 and I was the 911 guy?

Now, he's done this. His legacy is going to be sad.

    The SCOTUS? :roflol:

Did anybody REALLY think that The Court would do anything substantive?

Why would anybody have thought that?

Did they hear that from Sidney Powell?
