President Donald Trump is expected to join his attorney Rudy Giuliani in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday, where Republican state lawmakers are holding a "hearing" on allegations of fraud in this month's election, two sources familiar with the plans told CNN.
Trump expressed strong interest in joining Giuliani for the trip and directed aides to make plans for him to travel to Pennsylvania, multiple sources said. The trip, which would be his first outside of the Washington area since Election Day, was not listed on the public schedule released by the White House on Tuesday night, but is being handled internally as an unannounced movement.

    Wow.

I find it really hard to believe that Trump is actually validating this unproven conspiracy.

Then again, it is Trump. Thus, it really isn't that unbelievable.

In any event, what is Trump trying to accomplish by giving oxygen to this unproven conspiracy?

His Twitter was really off the chain today, also.

Retweeting Conspiracy Theories and making it clear that he has no intention of conceding.

Maybe his hair dye will run, giving you something vitally important to report on! Things that truly matter!

I just skimmed the article to see if Trump planned on speaking. Didn't see anything.

What on earth is the PA GOP thinking? This is not going to end well for them. Whatever they come up with will be immediately debunked. And whatever Trump says will be viewed no differently than his other "I won big" proclamations. It's going to be embarrassing.

That his hair dye ran tells us that Rudy's idea of what's vitally important is out of whack.

    Nah, that was Rudy's Problem.

Trump usually uses a semi-permanent dirty blonde rinse.

Although, Trump has been known to get a bit lackadaisical.and allow a lot of grey roots to become visible.

    As far as Rudy?

After last week's career-ending embarrassment, I would assume that they will have had his dye job professionally done.

Thus, there is no chance of a "meltdown" even in a hot room.

The big thing to keep an eye on is Jenna Ellis's makeup.

It seems to be a bit overdone (as if she is channeling Katherine Harris)

Still, Trump's Attendance at this event (to.promote unproven conspiracies) is yet another black mark on his Failed Presidency.

Half a dozen chapters have been added to history books, just since the election. By not conceding like a normal person, Trump has lost any chance at favorable opinion by historians. He will live on in infamy.

I compare Trump to Akhenaten. Trump's demise will be like Akhenaten's death; when all traces of the heretic king were removed.

    An interesting comparison to Akhenaten.

Sadly, Melania could never hold a candle to Nefertiti.

Anyway, you are absolutely spot on about how Trump's behavior since the Election has further (and indelibly) darkened the stain that Trump has put on the Office of the Presidency.

Exactly. I think it will look awful for trump to attend a hearing that concludes there was no widespread fraud.
People should keep asking, “where’s the evidence” and if none is forthcoming, his false narrative will be shot to hell.

Why would Rudy use hair dye. An appeal to vanity? More fake schit?

Sure....full of extravagant, irrelevant rubbish and claims based on hearsay. That is why Rudy is presenting them (if he does) in public. He knows they would be rejected as evidence in Court.

At least Akhenaten had an opera made about him.

I doubt we'll have an opera about Trump. Except to say, regarding his bid to steal the election, the fat lady has sung, already.

I don't even think Trump even cares what a fool he looks like anymore, losing to Biden has made him go crazier than he already was

exactly, they can't sell the lies in court, so they will try there, but there means nothing and I think he will get the same response he got from Michigan

will this be public or behind closed doors?

"Asked for comment about the President's plan to attend the event, White House deputy press secretary Judd Deere told CNN, "I'd refer you to tomorrow's public schedule. I have no additional updates at this time.""

sounds like the rest of Trump's staff is still hoping he changes his mind

Ya know what? That reference to Air Force One has triggered me. When I bitched about how Humpty abused it, I was howled down. Gee, I can't wait for the occasion when Sleepy Joe uses it like Trump did and the Republicans fawn about it.

The more time that passes, the less people will indulge in the fraud fantasies. For many it was a way to be in denial about the election results and Trump's loss without having to realize they were grieving. The grief was hidden underneath the righteous anger produced by the fantasy. This was an election where a lot of folks, no matter who they supported, had some heavy emotional investment. No doubt similar mechanisms would have been employed by Trump opponents had the election gone the other way.

But as time passes and people come to grips with the results, the need for the "stolen election" narrative decreases. There will still be a fair amount of folks who cling to it, although whether it's genuine or just used for internet trolling would be hard to determine without knowing an individual personally.

Conclusion: For some this was a grieving response. That probably includes Trump to some degree, although there's a lot of ego tied in it too with that one.
