I guess if they don't like it they can quit. But this is also about 'feelings'. Should Peterson find a US publisher instead:

Woke jackasses will be the death if freedom in this country. I have know idea who Peterson is, and I couldn't care less, but because someone's audience doesn't appeal to you gives you know say so what ever over whether your boss published his book or not.
In fact the babies in question had they come to me complaining would have been told in no uncertain terms that you work in the publishing business. Our goal is to make money and this author produces a very nice cash stream so get your adult pants on because we have a contract with this author and as long he continues to make us money, so we can publish the crap you like that's never made us a damn dime, we will continue to publish him.

It will only get worse I'm afraid.

I don't imagine it will be too long before we have some sort of thought police.

So people freely speaking their opinion is the death of freedom? The proles should remain silent and invisible, with only the wealthy business owners having the right to an opinion?

Good employers will listen to their employees concerns about business decisions they feel could be harmful, to the business itself or more widely. They could well be wrong and employers are free to ignore the concerns but the smart ones will at least listen, consider and address them as best they can, not just dismiss it out of hand.

Popular in far right circles lol. Most of the people I know with a copy of 12 Rules for Life aren't political or right wing at all.

Paterson is not far right. His views are liberal in a non-American sense.

These employees are massively out of touch.

At some point the pluralist message of the MLKs of the world got warped into the vindictive, racially scapegoating message of Kimberlé Crenshaw and Co.

The problem is that when well founded movements achieve their goals there are always *******s looking to flip the oppression and maintain their own power. Movements struggle to cease when they reach their goals.

yep, started with bakers and government employees not handing out marriage certificates, and now employees at a book printery..... it has to stop

people have jobs to do, they do not need to judge and deny others, just do their job or be fired if they can't do it

They wouldn't know this because they never actually looked into Peterson for themselves. They just follow what they're told. Like lemmings. As far as I know the only "far right" ideology he has is in his support for Free Speech and in not hating men. Otherwise he's pretty liberal.

It isn't harmful to the business if it makes money for said business and that wasn't what it was about. It was about the poor bloody wankers feelings you know what it's always about with these damn woke wankers. And yes shutting down other people's contractual agreements because of your feelings is damn well bloody tyrannical.

Profit isn't everything and even if it was, controversial decisions can be financially harmful to businesses so it's something they should consider. Unhappy employees can also impact the bottom line so, as I said, at least listening to them and trying to address their concerns is a good business decision, even if the objections are wrong.

It sounds like you want the employees silenced because their opinions hurt your feelings. I don't agree with them but that's no reason for them not to express their opinions.

They have every right to there opinions right up until the point those opinions cause harm financial or otherwise to others at that point they are just little would be Mussolinis seeking to harm others.

Free speech is pretty scary when you have shitty ideas like liberals do.

But they like it, as such it is free speech, when it's something they don't like it's hate speech and must be banned.

In their universe it's their thoughts or no thoughts and free speech is something they want total control over because they know they are the smartest people around, as such they must protect the dummies from themselves, even if that means incarcerating or killing them.

That's exactly the same thing they're saying about the company publishing the book. I think you're both wrong but I'm not calling for either of you to be silenced.

I never heard of him until students protested against him speaking in their town. I downloaded his book, 12 Rules, and don't understand what the big deal is.
