If they stopped testing as he wanted we would have a lot less cases and a lot more deaths due to causes unknown

Actually, if they just stopped testing covid patients for pulses, we would have a lot less deaths

It only applies to federal laws. The president can pardon as many people as he wants, for whatever reason he wants.

"for whatever reason ".......... so that could include major crimes if a POTUS decided that way.

I just wondered if there were limitations .

    Thanks.........and BTW: Happy TGD holiday

Whatever his relation to Trump may be, he helped Trump e.g. when it come to install a new judge at the SCOTUS in the last days of his presidency. Even jeopardizing his own credibility when you compare his behaviour to the end of the Obama era.

Plus, it would bring the Republican candidate running for presidency, whoever that may be, in a great position.

Furthermore Biden is kind of trapped. The left wing of his own party supported him half-ethusiastically, keeping the peace only due to the common enemy, Trump. Trump will be gone for the next years as the olast basis of working together. It will be fairly difficult for him to find compromises with the Republicans in the senate which will not take the left wing completely away from him.

I doubt the media will ever confront her as she is part of the establishment, but Harris should be asked, if she stands for her word, she believes the "victims" of the sexual allegations against Biden, thus working with a sex offender opportunistically or if she tried to accuse a man who she secretly never thought to be guilty of a terrible crime to get a high ground in a competition.

Plus if this was her way of procedure as a states attorney as well.

The Senate has already said that they would most likely confirm all of his cabinet picks. I don't think they are going to treat him like they treated Obama. They didn't like him, at all.

Biden is moderate. This country needs a healthy dose of moderate. Joe is boring. We could use some boring for a change. I see Biden resembling the George HW Bush presidency. A good administrator & a good diplomat. Joe is not going to cave to a radical agenda.

'A blood lust': Spree of federal executions during lame-duck period is unprecedented

This year, the federal government put eight people to death, including the only Native American on federal death row, ending a 17-year hiatus on the federal level. Of the next five scheduled executions, four involve Black men; the fifth person would be the first woman to be executed by the federal government in nearly 70 years.

Together, the cases reflect a detachment from 2020's "awakening on the racial injustice that is endemic to our criminal legal system," one advocate said, while other critics argued that employing death sentences during a pandemic is unsafe.

    my goodness.

It's fun when these things happen in your own backyard. I actually know two people who used to work at Mar-a-Lago.

I guess he is not yet done embarrassing himself, the Republican party, and the United States.

I doubt Biden will run either, so it will be between time for someone like Rand Paul vs unnamed Dem.

Boring is good. No more reality shows. GOP controlling Senate is also good, because gridlock is good for business / stock market.

I agree completely. Split is always better for us.

My concern right now is that since Trump is spending 24/7 telling Georgians that they are all fraudulent crooks, they will vote for the blue senators out of spite. It would be just another way Trump bleeped America, if that happens. Though, given the behavior of the congressional republicans this past month, I'm not sure I care.

Trump being Trump I expect him to create as many problems for the United States as possible so he can snipe at Biden while he tries to clean up the mess.

And I HOPE so too. He is a menace on that forum. Freedom of speach is important. But with that freedom comes RESPONSIBILITY. We are all accountable for what we say .

If America saw what you hope it would see, we wouldn't have Biden as president. There's a four-year age difference between Trump and Biden, but mentally, Trump is at least 8 years younger than Biden, if not more. And policy-wise, Trump is light years ahead of Biden.

In one sentence, you are making a case that Trump was treated so poorly and judged unfairly.

Yet, in the next, you are admonishing the Obamas for becoming richer, including their family and friends.

How is that NOT a double standard?
