Every other Thanksgiving, we choose to stay home, together. Our family is all over the place, and it's not huge.

We're doing that this year; the kids will be over on Friday to hang.

I'm making a turkey, because cold turkey sandwiches after Thanksgiving is better than the Thanksgiving dinner. :)

    Oh, and football.

I spent yesterday cleaning carpets and rearranging furniture. The living room is now the way I wanted to do it when I first bought my house but didn't. Feels like a completely new room with just a little rearranging.

    Amazing how that works.

We rearranged quite a lot of the house in June, when it became obvious my husband wasn't going back to the office anytime soon. Now we have our office space on different floors.

We changed the layout of almost every room in the house. I don't really believe feng shui is a thing. That said, our feng shui is much better, now. :)

Oh, come on now. Drama is interesting as long as it is someone else's drama.

When you reach 94 years the only thing you should worry about is nap time. Not when some idiot might OD.

My drama today is the new radio alarm clock is going off and I have to go figure out how to turn it off. I had so much fun learning how to set the time..this is going to be a blast.

How will one eye open do for a good morning? I have had all the drama I can stand today. Has anyone ever tried to talk to ATT over the phone? That will give you all the drama you can handle.

I've had the joy of talking to AT&T customer service. It's why they invented Valium. I just haven't figured out if it was for me, or them.

It's literally dripping through the grounds as we speak. A little synthetic flavored wanna-be creamer, and I'll be set for the morning.

    Reminder, get those Turkeys out!

Some of the winter birds are coming to the feeders now. Because of the Chinese virus, I have to plan to buy the birdseed. The birds love the seeds that have been hulled and that particular bird food is not available here since the virus. Strange but a lot of things aren't available like they were before the virus.

Company will bring the turkey this year. I am doing sweet potato souffle, oyster dressing, fruit salads, Brussel sprouts and peas, pecan pies, cookies and Tea. Can't eat a meal without iced tea at least not in the south.

Happy Thanksgiving Eve! Working but we get off 2 hrs early so I'll be making a Mexican Sheet Cake this afternoon. Picked up dinner from my fav home cooking cafe so I'll have plenty of leftovers after dinner at my sils!

Scared of gaining back that 65 lbs Ive lost in the last yr but I dont think one day of splurging will hurt!

Beautiful day after storms last night!

I hope you didn't have any damage. We were getting some cloud cover before sundown I hope that isn't going to be bad weather headed our way.

I have been cooking all day so I can kinda enjoy tomorrow.

I thought it was Texas sheet cakes. The recipe I had was made with buttermilk and chocolate you iced the cake while it was still hot. Is that similar to the Mexican sheet cake. If the cake is chocolate it doesn't matter what you call it.

I find that throwing them across the room is effective....well unless it is a cellphone alarm in which case you will be spending 20 minutes stumbling around in the dark on your hands and knees swearing, refusing to turn on a light, and refusing to wake fully up just to find the bastard so you can oversleep on the floor.

I'm doing a Cuban style turkey this year.

Just the three of us; my husband has an undiagnosed, but probably auto-immune version of arthriits, so it's just the three of us until we know for sure. We'll swim, eat and play dominoes train style. Oh, and football.

We are having the traditional family supper. Baked turkey, mashed potatoes, oyster dressing, deviled eggs, olives, black and green, Brussels sprouts, and assorted pies with pecan and pumpkin mandatory. Y'all dig in!

20201125_145234.jpg The angelfish I got at PETCO are thriving. They are now about quarter size. 20201116_091414.jpg I found some wild Daphnia... Water fleas.... outside and put a culture in a 10 gallon tank. I feed them yeast and green water. They are also thriving for now. But Daphnia cultures are know to crash. But till then a near perfect food. The Angelfish did so well I bought 3 more. They are in the "fish room" uphill from the house. They survived the night. One is a silver , and it looks like the other two are marble blushing angels. I bought all they had....just three.

We got a fire lite and Im listening to snoring and watching the Macys parade on mute. Amazing how some of these dancers are in sync with the snoring.
