Seems like common sense anyway. Don’t these people ever watch any cop shows?

Flynn was never sentenced, so he is NOT a convicted felon. In fact, he is headed to help Christopher Miller with the ARCYBER investigation of Paragon.

I have been reading these threads this morning and it is very prevalent lately that literally in almost every thread, the defense of the crime, or the policy, or the action of those on the right, is either a conspiracy against them by the left, or a conspiracy to get Trump.

That’s a lot of conspiracy there: Voting fraud....”CONSPIRACY” (by 75 million Americans apparently). And in this Thread, Michal Flynn, who pled guilty because the evidence to convict him existed, was falsely accused and that too was a conspiracy against him.

I also remember the very first day of the Trump presidency when he claimed “the largest inauguration crown in history”, and then when the photographs comparing him to the last inauguration showed him wrong, it was a conspiracy by the entirety of “the media” against him.

There are over 10,000 verified lies by Trump since he has been president. Yet every time he talks, and gets called out on a lie, his followers yell that its some sort of a conspiracy against him.

What happening now is nothing more.

It's really not a conspiracy, they admitted it in Congressional testimony AND in their own notes. The conspiracy is that those within our government were unwilling to do a thing about it, when had it occurred against any other administration(democratic or Republican) heads would've been let go in a massive corruption probe.

"You listened in on the call of the incoming National Security Advisor, and elaborated a theory with no lawful basis just to remove him". Because like Egoboy said, Sullivan's probably talking as we speak, and he probably has all the reassurance in the world that this FBI will not spy on his conversations, or make a conspiracy theory that has no basis.

FYI, if you lied to Federal proecutors, you would have committed a crime too, probably ruin your military career. The title of this thread, "admitted to lying", the only witch hunt is alternate reality.

Definitely.... my unity start date isn't until Feb 2021... Still too many unreachable people out there.. I'm giving it a few months..

If you guys cannot eventually get behind the fact that Mike Flynn clearly broke the law and everybody in the Trump administration acknowledged it (back then), I'm not sure I see where unity is possible, on this point at least..

Nobody was ever calling for severe time to be served... or have him deported .... just stay with your guilty plea, take your "Aunt Becky" time (if even GIVEN time) and move on.... But noooooooooooo...

He broke no law to be prosecuted. Name the law he broke before they forced a felony plea deal?

No they didn't and Flynn is not convicted and even if he had been a full pardon vacates it and both parties agreed to withdraw the plea bargain. The judge has no standing to pursue criminal prosecution and violating separation of powers with the Executive Branch's prosecutorial powers.

Sullivan go ahead with what? The prosecutors dropped the case, the is no case before him. Flynn cannot be charged with a crime here even IF Sullivan a judge had standing to prosecute a case which he does not. Flynn's name will go down as the victim of one of the most egregious political persecutions in the country's history.

Again why were the FBI agents there to even begin with, what crime were they investigating?

As the WSJ editoral board so correctly put it today

"President Trump’s decision Wednesday to pardon former national security adviser Michael Flynn is an overdue act of justice that ends four years of political harassment, unjustified prosecution and judicial abuse. If it sounds like we feel strongly about this one, you’re right.

We’ve never met the former general and decorated veteran. But every American should be worried about his mistreatment by a politicized system of justice that could happen to anyone on the wrong side of vindictive people with power.

The FBI and Justice pursued him though they knew there was no basis for an investigation. They coerced a plea of lying to the FBI though the interviewing agents thought he was telling the truth. A later re-examination ordered by Attorney General Bill Barr found that Justice and the FBI had withheld exculpatory evidence. Former FBI director James Comey crowed about how the bureau took advantage of the unsuspecting Mr. Flynn and a trusting White House to have his agents interview him without courtesies normally extended to criminals.

Justice finally moved to dismiss the charges this year, but then federal Judge Emmet Sullivan opted for political revenge by refusing to agree to the dismissal. He even tried to investigate the case himself—an extraordinary intrusion by a court into the executive branch’s prosecutorial power. His obvious goal was to stall long enough for a Biden Administration to take power and reinstate the charges. What a disgraceful performance."
