Uh-Oh, and another one bites the dust. All that hysteria but the leftist pundits and MSM about having to call out the military and arresting him and all that nonsense. All along I advised calm down things will take their legal and election course. So now what will the hysteria be over now?

    "
WASHINGTON/REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Thursday he will leave the White House if the Electoral College votes for President-elect Joe Biden, the closest he has come to conceding the Nov. 3 election, even as he repeated unfounded claims of massive voter fraud.

Speaking to reporters on the Thanksgiving holiday, Republican Trump said if Democrat Biden - who is due to be sworn in on Jan. 20 - is formally declared the winner by the Electoral College, he will depart the White House.

Asked if he would leave the White House if the Electoral College votes for Biden, Trump said: "Certainly I will. Certainly I will. And you know that.""

The left doesn't actually want him gone because who do they have to hate when he leaves?

Not the same because you can't blame him for your failures anymore.

What reason does Pelosi have to look like a fool by ripping up papers?

I will say that there will be a certain amount of vacuum without Trump as president.
Politics will be rather boring again, CNN won't know who to villify, FOX will have to figure out who to put on that golden pedestal, MSNBC will have to find someone else to go on and on and on about.
No more crazy stuff, constitutional crises, random firings, crazy news conferences, etc.
    It'll be back to boring.
    Nice and boring.

you don't need to worry about that, Trump is not going anywhere, nor is MAGA. He will remain the leader of the party and he'll be omnipresent, on TV, perhaps his own, having his mega-rallies all over the country, tweeting, parlering non-stop, building MAGA friendly social media, trashing the Dems, undermining Biden and being a thorn in their side...

Mark my word, he is sticking around.

Of course he was never going to just refuse to leave. It simply doesn't work like that. I know some lefties who thought that it's possible to just barricade himself in the oval office and refuse to leave.

Like WTF? Do they know anything at all (don't worry, it's a rhetorical question).

The actual electoral college is how we choose our Presidents.

There is a new rule and precedence the Democrats have created. It's about "peachmint" where whoever has the majority impeaches the sitting president just because they have a majority. The Republicans stand to gain the majority of the House in the next mid term elections. I hope we have learned something from the Democrats and apply some of the same rules to them that the applied to Trump. That could be entertaining.

That might be right, but is the Senate yet decided? I thought a run-off in Georgia was kinda relevant?

Hopefully Trump will succeed in exposing these election crimes. No way Biden won.

If Biden does take office, we likely will never see an honest election again in the U.S. We will officially be a banana republic.

Why do you think after four years of yelling “Librium tears” and TDS that anyone BUT his adoring base would vote for him?

    Biden WON! Period.

Sounds good to me, as long as the Democrats keep winning.

I have to applaud your (unintentional) honesty there, AJ. At least you admit that Democrats wanna turn the US into a banana republic - and that you're happy with it:

To everyone else - the above post is why, when I quit the GOP out of disgust nearly twenty years ago, I could never become a Dem. Sure, the GOP no longer represented anything it should - but the Dems were at rock-bottom already and based on what I'm seeing, started digging a hole for themselves several miles deep by now.

It does mean I'll have at least four years of comedy material, and we know several LW posters who won't be able to handle a fraction of that. I can't wait, actually - even though many of the jokes practically write themselves!

We never had a constitutional crisis, unless the crisis references to the fact that this Congress would rather pay foreigners abroad than Americans here at home, that is a crisis but we're too busy occupied with the Presidency to hold Congress to account.

And you takes Trump's word for that?! After four years of his lies you still eat his words like a good slave?

Asked by reporters on Thursday whether he would agree to leave the White House if he lost the electoral college vote, Trump said: "Certainly I will, certainly I will and you know that."

But you should know by now that if Trump makes such a promise he must have something up his sleeve.

Not that the electoral college will not vote for Trump. But no doubt Trump will stick his own reality onto this confirmation.

There is not a chance in hell Trump will admit the electoral college chose Joe Biden over him.

He will come up with some outrageous lie that totally discredits the result of that electoral college.

Then he can have reason to go back on his statement to leave the White House.

Trump lies for a living. Try to remember that.

The left will eventually at some point, wake up from the hyperbole and admit that they were overblown during 4 years of Trump.
