The big question here is if the strippers are wearing masks?

Have you been absorbing fake news? That would explain it.

Contrary to fake news reports, the nation is not on fire.

You are looking for rationale from ignorant power hungry state executives; doesn't exist.

So, a large swath of the population are not allowed to leave their house, work, etc., and now you want to take away their entertainment?

Seems cruel, to me. That would be the last thing one would want to do, if all one has, at home, is TV in order to entertain oneself, and not a lot of people are going to want to start reading, when most of the population has been weaned on TV

Unless, by 'entertainment' you mean concerts, theatres, cinema, that sort of thing.

And the entertainment industry, including the Fake News MSM, is a significant part of the DP's donor base.

They might even learn to read books! And that would be a very bad thing.

    Constant testing and numerous precautions.

Any entertainment production is being done in a bubble. The actors and all production staff stay in the same hotel; bang out a bunch of episodes, and everyone goes home.

Talk shows are being done without audiences, and virtual Zoom guests.

My friend tells me on her soaps, the actors are not getting near each other. No kissing, no bedroom scenes, no hugging.

They are adapting and being smart.

Football is taking it very seriously, too. Games are being moved if players are testing positive. Sideline staff are getting fined if they don't wear masks. No audience, or very limited audiences.
