I had to look up the word "sophistry" and yes, "superficially plausible yet generally misleading" politics is the name of the game. It's why we are constantly in the position of having to make quick judgements about newsworthy items with little information, thinking fast and being pressured by elites to either champion or denounce specific statements or actions right away. It's the 24-hour news cycle made flesh.

I feel as though I picked up on this back in June, when Poppy Harlow and the other pundits on television kept repeating the same phrases. Tell me if any of these sound familiar:

    "explosion of cases"
    "support those on the frontline"
    "wave of new cases"
    "surge of new cases"
    "overrun with new cases"
    "fighting for their lives"
"we're going in the wrong direction"
    "losing ground to the virus"
    "America on its knees"
"just look at the numbers; these are the facts"
    "you can't dispute the numbers"

    It's war rhetoric.

Virus = surges, explosions, waves, overrunning America
You = just look at the undisputable numbers and do your part to support the frontline fighters

A few of his words are his own, like "persclaim" and "palmist". Of course, with or without a teleprompter, he often just babbles nonsense words and phrases.

Can you link us to your posts where you gave Trump a chance? Just want to verify your "claim". Many thanks for your honesty and willingness to show this or these chances you gave Trump so we can believe you.

    Don’t believe me? I don’t say things I can’t back up.
    As requested.
Will you give Biden a chance?

That's very fair. I appreciate that.

I have a similar thread from 2016 i often have to cite (I created the thread too) where I didn't vote for Trump in 2016. I voted 3rd party. I gave donny the chance and I ended up loving him.

I will give China Joe a chance. After all, if he does well, I'm happy. If he doesn't, all the blame lands on him just as all the blame the left throws around lands on Trump. I look forward to passing any blame in the future if it is needed.

BTW here's my thread before election day 2016. I get called a conservative all the time when I'm not. I'm an indy/libertarian-ish voter.

They are starting to present in court. Powell filed in GA and MI Wednesday. Wood has filed in GA. PA has reversed their decision to certify.

There is plenty of evidence. Sworn affadavits are evidence. Let's see what other evidence they argue.

The media is irrelevant? Did you see the recent poll how like 45% of democrat voters never heard of Hunter Biden's laptop? And how 9.5% of them said they would have changed their vote if they knew? There was 100% media blackout of that story

There is no evidence. It's disinformation. That's why FB and Twitter acted the way they did.

    The court cases are jokes.

Trump Pa. election suit rejected in federal appeals court

The poll is meaningless. Respondents cannot check the claims.

One way or another, this is going to the Supreme Court. Whether Trump can prove anything, and/or how the justices rule is up for debate. But like it or not, this will be settled in SCOTUS

I know you have hope, but it's probably better to let yourself down slowly.

The SCOTUS absolutely is not going to hear any of this nonsense. You guys act like this is a game. That all Trump has to do is bring this to the SCOTUS, with no evidence at all, and the Court will proclaim him winner, because he appointed three of them. Transactional government. They owe him, right?

Reality doesn't work that way. Best to prepare yourself for a Trump-free White House. You have about 60 days. Don't wait until the last minute, for your own good.

Hmmmm did I cheer this on? No but Biden IS holding out Olive branches only to have words cherry picked and taken out of context. It is obvious he was referring to a specific small group of people but if you wish to think he was inclusive of every Trump supporter please feel free to do so

No it won’t because there is no evidence

I gave him the benefit of the doubt many times. He would usually blow it after a couple of days with either/and/or juvenile, corrupt or immoral behaviour. He simply lacks the standard of moral character sufficient to be POTUS.
