When their presidential candidate doesn't win?

I'm not trying to pick on anyone. I've had the same feeling when I was younger.

My first presidential election was Clinton vs Bush. I voted for Clinton and after he won people where saying I should learn Japanese because they were taking over America... That didn't happen. And everybody was okay even though it was the end of the world.

Clinton's second term was fine despite being impeached and asking what the definition of 'is' is. and everyone was okay.

Anyway, Clinton left Goerge W Bush with a budget surplus. But because of the election being contested by Gore (a moment of great weakness in the eyes of Osama Bin Laden) we had the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Yes I am saying that if the Republicans didn't "steal" that election we wouldn't be embroiled in war 20 years later... Even though I thought it was, it was still, not the end of the world.

Bush got away with torture. He allowed the credit beuroughs to raise interest rates to 25% and rolled back government regulations on the big banks which let them go criminal with lending practices that crashed the economy... Still not the end of the world.

I know I'm being biased. I'm very sure there are gripes on the right for Clinton and Obama. But before you bring up Obama's drone strike madness remember that Bush Jr had the policy of skipping a generation of military technology.

Obama just used what was there. Otherwise post your thoughts.

So now when Trump was elected in 2016. I was very disgusted with the GOP and I thought it was the end of the world... But we're all still here.

Now it seems to me that Trump supporters are ready for civil war 2 because Biden won. But I promise you it's not the end of the world. Your worst nightmares are not going to be realized. We're all going to be just fine.

    This is America after all.

I do think Bush Jr set America on the course to go BK, and Trump helped it along, but either won't be the end of the world, just painful

It's a noticeable trend that is occurring and the rest of your post is so biased it's hard to even read.

When liberals get in they push us a little further to totalitarianism where they are the masters of all rules and thoughts.

    Republicans don't do that.

That is why the end of America is coming, if it hasn't arrived already.

It's not the end of the world

Until amnesty for 10s of millions of permanently dependent illegals and further open borders.
    Until court packing.
    Until Electoral College is undermined.
    Until...

    Stay tuned.

I was never really all that interested in politics until the Worst President in Our History was elected by a minority of us.

This showed me how much harm a dedicated group of corrupt fanatics can do if let go unchecked and truly frightened me that we had fallen under the sway of an unprincipled tyrant and his minions who were about to turn what I had always found to be a very pleasant place to live into an oppressive despotism. It was like being in a comic book for real except the villain's superpower was his ability to project his own stupidity onto people

You mentioned that you felt it was the end of the world after various elections. Why did YOU feel that way at those times?

No, Trump was a response to you folks running Hillary but now that the media is 100% on your side and you've mastered out the art of election stealing it means the people no longer have a say.

Biden is just your transition guy, you are already grooming your anti-Christ to take over.

Have you asked yourself lately why the media is 100% on our side?

Perhaps the lasting legacy of the Trump admiration may be the creation of the concept of alternative facts.

It’s a standard election tactic... pick the ‘other’ side and Armageddon will happen... happens every country with elections for national leaders.
Want to see some really viscous campaigns? Go to the library and check the news papers reporting on national elections in the early part of our history and even more illustrative, see the political cartoons of the times... they were viscous, nothing barred.
Nasty election rhetoric... it’s part of the national character.
Don’t worry, in 4 years you will get another chance; the threat of Armageddon and the ‘end’ will happen again.

BF... “a republic if you can keep it”.

I think you have it wrong. Biden supporters were ready to start a war if he lost. Trump supporters were not clamoring to riot and burn stuff like 2016.

I’ve never thought the world would come to an end. However, in my life time the odds a Republican administration will engage in reckless behavior and descend into criminality are quite good.

The Party has gotten worse since it’s transformed itself into a faith-based organization. That’s not a religious reference rather a reference to a relentless faith in their vision regardless of the facts on the ground. That zealotry makes them incapable of governing.

If you’ve got an affinity for fiscal disasters vote Republican they’ll deliver and then blame the tool that they were utilizing (government). “That freaking hammer destroyed my thumb. It’s the hammer’s fault!”

It’s a Party that needs rebuilt from the ground up. And no, Trump didn’t destroy it. He was— is a perfect representation of what it had devolved into.

The world hasn’t come to end but like clock work we’ve got a huge hole to dig out of, again.

I have and came up with the answer:

It is controlled by bazillionaires who want to increase their already enormous power to shape the world as they see fit. The Democrats are their lickspittle stooges.

It's not the end of the world, it's 4 years of moving in the end of the world's direction, at least towards the end of America.

Look around, we have leftist brownshirts roaming the streets, leftist riots, leftist cancel culture, we have leftist attacks on the 1st amendment, the 2nd amendment, the electoral college, leftist attempts to pack the courts, pack the senate, the death of free press and its collusion with the swamp, the censorship... Is it the country you knew, is it not the direction towards the end of America? Be honest.

Yes, Trump's victory was the catalyst... but the seeds of leftist fascism were planted during the 8 years of Obama's administration... Welcome to Obama 2 administration when the left knows exactly how to act if they don't get things their way.

Violent thugs intimidating people with different views, shutting down [inconvenient] speakers and "cancelling" their lives while calling themselves Antifa (anti-fascism) leaps immediately to mind.

White privileged imbeciles rioting and burning black businesses all over the country while screaming black lives matter is another vivid example.

Pathetic , indeed, that the radical right gets away with rioting and killing people without one word of criticism from the righties in power.

As for “daily liberal riots” , that’s fake news from the righties and is ignored as it should be.
Just look at the results of the general election: nobody believes your propaganda.
