EIA: US CO2 Emissions From Electricity Generation Down to 1980’s Levels… Frac On!
Guest “Frac on!” by David Middleton NOVEMBER 10, 2020U.S. energy-related carbon dioxide emissions fell in 2019, mainly in electric generation After rising by 3% in 2018, energy-related carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions fell 3% in the United States in 2019. According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration’s (EIA) U.S. Energy-Related Carbon Dioxide Emissions, 2019 analysis, total energy-related CO2…

May be conservatives don't want to have to pull a 3-eyed catfish out of a toxic river. Conservationism has been far more successful than environmentalism over the ages.

Then why did you let Trump reverse so many environmental protections?

I didn't let Trump do anything and all he reversed was what Obama put in place by executive action anyway.

The record of green failure does not inspire confidence.

    [IMG]Climate News
The contradictions of Green policies to limit CO2 emissions
The primary government actions to limit CO2 emissions have been to mandate a change in the fuels used to generate electrical power. The Green thinking requires the substitution of fossils fuels, replacing them with nominally “CO2 emissions free” fuels such as the Wind and Solar power as well as Biomass and Biofuels, which are designated to be sustainable and CO2 free by policy, because their plant material may well regrow eventually. These fuel substitution policies have already done proven damage to the reliability of Power grids in the South Australia and California and are making power supplies increasingly vulnerable wherever those policies are instituted. A low wind period in the UK and Europe in November 2020 came very close to causing the failure of the UK Grid. . . .

UNRELIABLE, MOST EXPENSIVE: Green Energies Make Germany’s Electricity Prices Highest In Europe!

Why do so few countries in Europe follow Germany in green electricity? The answer could lie in electricity prices:[IMG]

Eurostat lists these for the first half of 2020. Of all countries, Germany, Denmark and the United Kingdom are the wind energy countries that are very far ahead in terms of consumer prices. Hat-tip Die kalte Sonne. . . .

    @Jack Hays

I've seen analysis that giant windmills create a larger
carbon foot print than classic energy production.

This analysis included the carbon foot print of
    manufacturing a giant windmill.
Placing them in wind corridors has been a disaster on flying wild life.

It doesn't make sense to term them GREEN.

Germany’s Enviro-Dystopia: Wind Parks Devastating Rural Regions At Catastrophic Proportions

Here’s a preview of what to expect from the Green New Deal

Germany’s vision of a clean, environmentally friendly energy supply system, all to be discreetly nestled in an idyllic landscape, is in reality morphing into an environmental dystopia of catastrophic proportions.

    Image: Vernunftkraft.de

German wind energy protest group Vernunftkraft.de posted a Youtube video showing how out of control wind energy has gotten in some regions of Germany. . . .

No avian wildlife can survive this.

Rural citizens get steamrolled by Big Wind

What’s left? An entire region whose landscape is totally blighted by noisy industrial towers and is inhospitable to most life. Gone are the tranquility and idyllic beauty the area once enjoyed. The problem is that this region is poor, rural and so stands no chance against big wind project developers and the crony pols behind them, who just steamroll over any reservations or resistance local that residents may try to muster.

Like the old communists, this is another example of what happens when planning and decision-making are left to incompetent and corrupt central-planning policymakers teamed up with greedy crony capitalists out to make a quick buck. A few win big, while the masses lose everything.

In 30 years much of it will remain in ruins, a monument to one of the greatest industrial scams of all time.

Climate change: Have countries kept their promises?
When you are sea-sick, always remember to go to the leeward (downwind) side of the boat, so that you don’t get your own back. The UK and EU have made themselves rather ill with their “climate” efforts, but when they look at China’s numbers, they must feel like they went to the windward side. Only it wasn’t their own that they got back.
