The monolith was actually a racist dog whistle designed by Trump in order to signal his white nationalist base as to where the rallying point will be in the coming race wars. Why do you think Trump was always drinking diet coke? Because he was using recycling the cans in order to build this monolith! And what about its shiny surface, huh? It reflects light, light is the absence of dark, this is an obvious subtle racist nod about dark skin. I have sources, listen, I have sources, unnamed sources speaking on the condition of anonymity that I totally did not make up but that you cant talk to, that can point to studies, based on reports, that Russian engineers helped design the monolith and that it was placed and removed by Israeli stealth attack helicopters.
I am well aware this is a stunt by someone. Just wondering where they are going with it. I wonder how long they had to wait for it to be found, and then had plans to take it once found.
The tricky part is always going to be, how do you get away with its 'mysterious' removal -- and getting a winch outfitted truck on site -- without getting caught now that all eyes are focused on it? I find it fascinating that these people are almost never caught either during the placement or the removal process. Just excellent timing, I suppose . . . or the luck of fools.

One of my friends has an interesting idea about an advanced space traveling civilization. They wondered if it would be possible that their weapons and tech would be so advanced that lower tech might actually be useful against them. Like if they are all defended against phased plasma rifles in the 40 watt range, could they have forgotten that lower levels of weapons exist to the point they could possible be killed with say a regular old 9mm handgun?
Precisely. It's like how armor went out of use as gunpowder weaponry steadily advanced until the day came when kevlar was invented . . . and now -- gradually -- more and more armor is being re-introduced.
During the lockdown, I was furloughed from my job for 5 months and had a lot of time to watch my old movie collection. One of them was War of the Worlds (1953). In that movie, all of our military firepower was useless against the Martians’ technology. All seemed lost, until the Martians caught a human cold and died. It made me think of COVID-19 and our current human condition. Such irony!
Not being immune to each other’s diseases would likely be it. However, that assumes they would even need to set down to deal with us. Their AI would likely be better than ours. They could send that down to deal with us, while watching from the moon, then land and start mining for gold and other resources.
Yes that is just as possible and probable as a such a species being to destroy us at will before we can resist. Many more possibilities exist. Imagine a planet with a much smaller and simpler eco system. Perhaps all the species have some mechanism for keeping in balance with their environment which we do not. They have lots of " low hanging fruit " to eat and never get over populated. Under such conditioons it is very feasable that an advanced species from such a world many never develop weapons for use at a distance. They may well learn how chemistry works and how physics works which means they can grasp how a firearm works but they never needed it and never bothered to develop such weapons or any other advanced weapons. When they conquer they do so barehanded ( or finned or whatever appendage passes for hands with them) They may be able to do so because they are physicalll stronger than any other species. Then they get hear and get the shock of their lives when humans throw endless bullets and bombs at them defeating and destroying them. Because on our world competition for resources is intense and humans have spent a great deal of time learning to make efficient weapons for war and hunting. Or they could arrive on earth and say a magic word which causes the human race to vanish. Until we finally find some life out there we have no idea what they are like and there is no scenario with greater probability than another.
The US military is getting increasing amount of military hardware that can be used with a remote control, like drones but on the ground. Considering that we can do it to preserve lives, any civilization that masters interstellar travel must be even more capable than us. If this planet is attacked by aliens, we probably won’t get to look at how they look like.
That mono lifter thing is hollow so that Mr. Donald can fill it with Q Drops just as the scriptures said. I am honestly surprised we have not had an attack by someone taking a regular, but expensive high quality drone, securing a gun to it, and carrying out an attack that way. Hell, you could use regular old drones bought off of Amazon to do drug trades, drop drugs and weapons into prison yards or secure a bomb to one.
